He starts with the big bombshell: buy your darts by the thousand packs if you plan to play regularly in all day, planned event games. This is not feasible if using Nerf darts. Part of me can't help but think Hasbro never conceived that their consumers would ever be using so many darts, and in failing to do so, placed too high a priority on up pricing their "razor blades" which eventually served to paint themselves into a corner as cheaper substitutes became ubiquitous. Can they sell them for less? Even given their higher QC standards, to say nothing of their marketing budget that likely exceeds the entire production and distribution costs of all other manufacturers: absolutely. You're competing with the largest toy manufacturer on the planet. But it would alter their business model, which works just fine for the 90+% of their customers who don't buy their darts by the hundreds, much less in thousand pack bricks, and just want to pick them up at retail while shopping for other things.

Yep, i use Accufake because its so expensive to use hasbro originals. I ran a set if games over a weekend with 200 kids. We were going to lose a lot of darts. Started off with 20 kids, 6 darts each (a strong arm full) thats 120 darts. Rather than 100 hasbro darts that will get lost in no time, I can get 1000 knock-off and play for the weekend. seriously, hasbro need to sort their prices out. Oh yeah, great video. Pleased that you did the Acurecy test, and have to admit, i could see the spotted window comming. Worth watching the footage for that. ;)

I find it rather annoying that Hasbro both still makes Elite darts, in the face of Accustrike darts, and massively overcharges for both kinds of ammo, which is made worse by the fact that there is no actual reason for them to do so. Unfortunately Accustrike darts don't chamber in certain blasters. I like using a UDL Xm1014, and because of the shells the head of the dart needs to be smaller than the body

Unlike Accufake and Adventure Force darts, you can walk in to just about any store that sells games and toys, and walk out with some new Nerf darts. But you may say that's not true... well Dartzone and Adventure Force brands don't appear to be sold anywhere except America and Canada? Certainly not in the UK. I'm sure someone might buy small numbers, import them, and then resell them at increased cost, but I mean, the rest of the world does exist, and foam flinging takes place in it. Thankfully X-Shot now make and sell some reasonable darts at reasonable prices, and shops in the UK sell them. 😁

R&D, prototyping, testing, finding suppliers, setting up moulds and production machinery, advertising, distribution and of course legal costs. Large companies like Hasbro often set up contracts months in advance, they plan everything well ahead of final manufacturing. But things can change drastically, for better or worse, globally or in particular markets. Global pandemics, wars, politics, recessions, increasing fuel and energy costs. Businesses have to recoup their costs and make a profit... or else no more products.

I was so happy when I saw the new adventure force darts at my Walmart. I’m fully expecting(I haven’t finished the video yet) that these waffle heads will win out. Nerf darts are restricively expensive and while my brother got 800 darts for Christmas last year that we can use, they’re voberries, so it’s not as much fun to play with them. I’ve also used the adventure force branded version of the x shot darts before, but since here shorter they don’t function in flywheel blasters and cause jams. These new, cheap but high quality adventure force waffle heads are some of the best I’ve ever used, though, with accuracy, distance, price, and convenience!

On tighter barrels and such they do drag more. If you need a high end springer dart. Get dart zone bamboo darts or AF half darts

The X Shot darts work in some spring, cylinder blasters: Strongarm/Disruptor, Alphahawk, also the Roughcut, Firestrike, Persuader, very well. These are the blasters I tested them in where they worked. The Delta Trooper, Rayven, Stockade, mag fed and/or flywheel blasters won't take them because of length. They are no good an magazines but might work in clips, I just don't own any clip fed blasters. They actually work much better than Nerf elites in the blasters which take them and gives me separation between flywheel and spring/cylinder darts. If you only run something like the Strongarm around the backyard or whatever, they are pretty good and cheap.

Lol thanks for bringing another educational video to us Drac, as this can be a very important thing for people to look into when buying foam ammo. Personally I bought a 200pc box of those DZ darts and they’re freaking great for the price. They even feed in my Rapidstrike (Stratohawk) just fine, and I expected them to jam. But they didn’t. And 200 of them cost $10, which is amazing compared to genuine Nerf darts. I will never every buy nerf elites again unless they make them more accurate, and/or reduce the cost

PeeingEndermen MC personally I do not have the battle camo stryfe but I have the Orange elite stryfe, and because that’s the same, I can safely say that these darts feed well through my stryfe. They make the trigger a bit harder to pull, but it’s not entirely noticeable.

Zurus seem to work well in front loading springers but I've always had them jamming my Stockade anytime I try and use them in that. Might just be me being thick but any other U.K guys struggle to find the Adventure Force/Dart Zone blasters and darts over here? Never see them in Smyths or Tesco (Tried Asda thinking 'Hey, Walmart own them!' but no joy there)

The tedium of this video was insane. However, I TRULY appreciate the efforts you made for this video. I feel accuracy is far more important than fps, and finding out of the dozens of darts available now, even only 6 months after your test, that finding accuracy, and designing accuracy upgrades for our blaster hobby should take priority. Dreaming of a day where you can hit a target 50 feet away reliably, with upgraded blasters, is pretty amazing and would diversify the gameplay quite a bit. Shooting anything is only as good as it is accurate, so there is that. Quality video, sir, thank you, again.

I have to say that the x shot darts are actually more reliable than Nerf in a single instance. The monorail. Not sure why but Nerf and buzzbee darts both tend to jam a lot but I've never had a jam with the x shot darts.

The adventure force/buzzbee precise pro darts, while hard to find now, were the best ones that I've tested, in both range and accuracy - price wasn't too bad either. It's a real shame that they aren't on shelves anymore. They were only out for, what, a year?

Very good review. Love your content Drac. I actually use the innacuracy of standard elite darts to my advantage with a modded double barrel sledgefire I have to shoot a wide wall of 12 darts when I fire both barrels. I WILL hit something lol.

only blasters i have issue with the Zuru xshot darts are the Star wars rogue one death trooper blasters they either dont fire or fire all 2 at once but all my mag feed blasters do work as i dont have a flywheel blaster

From my own tests, the X-Shot darts have a nasty tendency to get stuck in other brand blasters.

Thanks for the huge effort. Hoewever, a few small constructive criticisms: -accu fakes and the like are readily available online through amazon and ebay for about 4-6 cents per dart -when comparing prices, you should use the price for the same amount of darts. 100 accu fakes cost more than 3 cents per dart (more like 5 cents, or one 6th of elites) -the accuracy test should have been done on a larger piece of paper or at a closer range, to not include the misses introduces huge errors in your results -it would have been nice if you had included one more alternative such as waffleheads
