So unfortunately the camera does capture it quite different to what your eyes see in real life. Definitely should have mentioned this. When the blinds are closed the images look near identical in color. With the blinds open, the MSI has a slight red hue shift but not nearly as intense as 3:01

As others gave already mentioned, you have created a great objective cover of the 2 panels, which makes it A Lot more simpler for usual folks to make up their mind, whilst others just go on and on about subjective matters and never simply the most basic points for the observer, instead they just complicate comparisons even more where people then continue to watch more comparison videos to find an answer... and luckily, you are that person to provide the answers that people are looking for.. Great job man. plus as a side note i would recommend adding affiliate links to these panels from USA, UK and Europe, in that way you could also benefit from the advice and content that you have helped others in making a decision with to. Is the LG really that much more blue-ish than the MIS one? It's incredibly noticable but I feel like it wasn't mentioned here at all
@patrikmedia4 ай бұрын
it's funny how everyone claims this LG to have an excellent matte coating, while a known monitor reviewer (not mentioning names but most people will know who I mean) says it's absolute garbage. just looks like that person has a grudge against matte coatings in general, can't really take it serious anymore when literally nobody supports that claim once they saw it in person. great review, btw make sure to not export the video as interlaced next time, there are line artifacts everywhere. this would fix it.
@AmelisTech4 ай бұрын
Yah I think it is crazy how someone can so brazenly hate on matte coatings. I do know who you are referring to and I think personal preference is something some people will never understand. Also, Just realized its partially interlaced! I didn't pay attention to the final render but turns out it was an issue between timeline and export frame rate which caused interlacing! Just switched to resolve so my fault!
@peoplez1294 ай бұрын
It's not a bad matte coating. It's better than the 144hz IPS/VA panel it replaced, which was actually similar, and that was an $800 monitor several years ago. From a steep side angle, the coating is glossy enough for a mirror reflection, it really only looks matte from straight on, and gets glossier looking the steeper the viewing angle. The oily look to it is there, but it's really only visible if you're like 6 inches from the monitor with a bright solid colored background, so my guess is people are simply sitting too close. Same with the text crispness on WOLED....it's not bad, and I don't even really see the fringing unless I put my eye up to the screen, and even then it's pretty minimal. Personally I like the white subpixel in WOLED. If you do like your monitor relatively close up, the white has an attribute no other screen has: It comes out white at the subpixel level, compared to RGB that needs to create white over a whole pixel that must blend at a distance to look like white. This to me makes the white on WOLED look much purer, especially for closeup viewing, where with a typical screen you get close enough and you'll definitely see the RGB of the subpixels as a kind of chromatic aberration. WOLED looks better both ways, whether it's black background and white text, or white background and black text, because the black always looks pure and the white does too, no matter how close. WOLED will ultimately beat QD-OLED, because you're literally getting 30% more subpixels, which does ultimately add more detail to an image at the subpixel level. The reason why WOLED has brightness issues is because that single white subpixel has to do the work of 3 subpixels....now imagine when they do get it to where it can have more brightness, it's simply going to be unmatched.
@patrikmedia3 ай бұрын

@unihaale4 ай бұрын
@@AmelisTech Yeah that's the silly thing, when you have fluctuating fps, you would actually benefit the most from VRR, but now on OLEDs you are penalized :D. It's also difficult to test. Rtings has a new test that seems very complicated to set up.

How does the 1080p mode look? Some claim it’s really blurry… some claim otherwise.
@AmelisTech4 ай бұрын
In my opinion it is definitely a bit blurry, But I grew up playing competitive CS with low resolutions and this still felt much better than that. For the games where I truly want that advantage such as CS2, Valorant, Overwatch, Apex, Etc. it wasn't really an issue for me. I even liked the 27 and 24 inch modes but those were definitely more blurry

@Torchedini3 ай бұрын
Compared to the 4k image it is a bit blurry. And a native 1080p panel will look better. But for me the smoothness outpaces all that. And the other times I just play in 4k. That is actually the best part about it, you have the choice
@haewymetal3 ай бұрын
Compared to 4K: Blurry. Compared to native 1080p on the same size, should be better on the 4K display due to integer scaling and much higher PPI.

I think it's annoying you have to choose between Alienware's QD-OLED (Which comes with Dolby Vision) and the competitors which only have things like true/native DP 2.1. All monitors over 1,000 in cost should come with DV.

Hi, I've already watched a bunch of videos and read a bunch of reviews, but I can't decide which is better to buy an msi 32 oled or 27 msi oled monitor, considering that I like to play cod or cs2, will I be able to comfortably play on the 32-inch version? (Ofc i play some single titles and for media consumptions 32 is great). For me, this is the main stopping factor in buying the 32-inch version. Give me some advice, as a person who has tried both options, I will be very grateful for the answer.
@AmelisTechАй бұрын
I was in this exact same boat and tbh it is a tough decision. One of my friends is unable to play cs/val on the 32 inch. Now that I've gotten use to it I really enjoy it, but the 27 inch 360 hz will always be better for those titles. I can still play at a very high level on the 4k but playing against the best players can be tough with a lower refresh rate. But after using the 360hz and switching to the 4k, the visual difference is huge. Personally, unless you really want to play at the highest levels and compete, get the 32 inch. It is so much more enjoyable for every task and the refresh rate difference will be negligible! Hope this helps you get your dream monitor!
