Which One is the Best? Blacktron & Galaxy Explorer Ships Comparison

You forgot that the Galaxy Explorer's outboard engines can pop off and be used as speeders same as the Renegade. I have both the Cruiser and the Explorer. LEGO Space is my second favorite theme after Castle. I'll be picking up the Renegade at some point. I hope that LEGO decides to make recreate some of the other Space factions as well, mainly Ice Planet.

I don't agree on playability. GE has so much more that you didn't mention: the fantastic garage sliding door, the 2 detachable engines which turns into vehicles, the side compartments with the parking lights to create amazing landing scenes..

wow didn't realize how big the and special the Galaxy explorer really is.... I like that the blacktron is smaller but def not full of techniques.... still going to be fun

The Galaxy Explorer is probably my favorite Lego set. Blacktron came out during my Dark Age, so I have no nostalgia for the Blacktron Renegade. it looks nice, but just doesn't tug at me like the Galaxy Explorer does.

I'm a Blacktron fan from the start, and the Galaxy Explorer is still the superior set, if you could only have one. Form clearly follows function follows form, in a madcap revolving door sketch. It's the set you would get if you could only have one Lego Classic Space themed set.

My ranking is the same... i put the Galaxy Explorer slightly on top because i'm a kid more of the Classic Space and Futuron era...

Are you planning to buy the 60446 set? It would be interesting to compare that set with these. I assembled the set yesterday and its variability is fantastic. Much better and more fun than the 10355 set.

Galaxy Explorer! It gives me classic space vibes. The Blacktron ship is so ugly. Never liked it. The original was ugly too.

I mean . . . Galaxy Explorer is inspired by the original Classic Space Galaxy Explorer, so yeah. Although I think the Blacktron ship is cool! (Plus I have no nostalgia talking; I'm too young to have had any type of Classic Space; I grew up on Space Police 3 and Galaxy Squad, lol!) I just love the style and build of the Classic Space and Blacktron sets! :D
