I can see the point of your experiment and the reasoning behind people's opinion. I believe ones true self shines out the best but given the nature of this experiment I'd say to judge it depending on the project. I believe there are certain ways a look/fit can enhance or just entirely defuse the "banger" of a song, so just be fun and picky with it 😉
