My sister must have read my mind, because she just texted me a photo of this set in store this morning and asked me if it’s something I’d like for Christmas. Lol, I’d be thrilled to have this guy...Im probably going to find a way to place it on my dresser so it can also be used as decor. usually when a "holiday" gift is given it's toward the end of the season and the holidays are basically over so maybe the concept is to give someone a gift she can look forward to using in spring/summer

Pinapple used to be very expensive as it isn't grown locally. Wealthy people would get them for show and they made they're way into decor. So it would be a very "luxe" thing to have, give, or receive.

I think I’m in the minority here but both these palettes look unbelievably bulky and tacky to me. I personally would rather spend the same amount of money on a luxury quad that felt special instead of a honking pineapple.

Monz It looks so pretty! I hope I get it for Christmas so I can store it on my dresser! I only have one Tarte palette right now, the mermaid one, and it’s on display also. Lol. I just love their packaging. I hope the formula of this one is as good as the one in that one! Plus this one has the blushes, bronzer, and highlight...I’ve never tried any face products from them, but I hear they’re really good. The only thing that might not work for me is the highlighter bc I am pretty pale, but that’s okay, I’ll just use it as eyeshadow. Anyway, glad to hear you’re enjoying it☺️

Emily ,maybe you could answer this question that has been bugging me... When you and other beauty influencers tap your brush where does the powder go? I tap mine over the sink to collect the fallout ,but it seems like everyone on KZbin taps it into the air.Doesn't the fallout eventually stain the carpet? lol just wondering

This is my first tarte palette (pinneaple one)and the first i buy for a higher than normal price (i buy lotta colourpop) so for me that dont have much high end makeup it was pretty cool and i loved the colors. If someone gifted it to me i wouldbe hella happy lol the extra items were a really nice addition and i love the vanilla smell. Also even if the colors are the usual thing for some, for me it has a great variety only that there are no crazy colors like blues greens yellows or pink or a xmasy red. Those i can find in most palettes even drugstore ones so yeah. All in all a great gift imho.

Emily- just wanted to let you know that your WANTS pallet has brought color back into my eyeshadow looks. I work in a hospital and shadows that are too pigmented are way to garish under those conditions. I’ve been loving this pallet! Can do a little color for work or build it up if I want more color pop. Btw I’ve purchased 2 more for Christmas presents.

I think the pineapple shaped palette has a really nice variety of pretty eyeshadows, and if it goes on sale after the holidays would probably be a pretty great deal. I am a little leery of Tarte eyeshadows since I had one palette of their's that irritated my eyelids pretty bad.

I enjoyed this take on the two palettes. Personally storage is an issue for me, so neither would store very well (not flat enough). Also Ulta is more expensive for Canadians because of the shipping and exchange costs. But just looking at the colour options, the Sephora one speaks to me because as you said the purple colours look so pretty. I’m wondering if once the holiday offerings have been reviewed, if you could do a look with Makeup Geek products again and or Laura Mercier. Thanks Emily - hope the ladies had fun last night!

Compared to previous Holiday Palettes that tarte had released, this looks really solid. Also the face colors seem more buttery smooth compared to those as well. Your face looks beautiful and glowy.

You made such a good point that I never thought of. If someone falls in love with the mascara in the Ulta set, they can’t repurchase the normal size one and have it fit. They would have to store it separately, buy only a mini, or Macgyver that panel to accommodate it 🤔 I agree that Sephora wins this round. I personally love the outside of the Sephora one 😂 it would look adorable on my vanity. I like that the Sephora face products look a little bigger too, or easier to fit a face brush in. Thank you!
