Akee's analysis--‐----- - - [Spoiler alert!] Cake tank has 4 layers, after each layer was destroyed it becomes immune for like 2 second ( lot of plants could have won if there wasn't any immune time) So we need plant that attacks and waits for 2 second before attacking again. 91 plants only 6 succeeded So 6.5% succes chance almost all of succesors used what i call "Op cactus strategy" Winner plants are -Cactus -Celery Stalker -Electric Current -Zomboid -Tiger grass The only plant succeeded fair and square was Bun-chi which attacks and waits for 2 second or something One guy in a random reply beautifully explained why there was a immune time its because when cake tank's layer is destroyed it will perform a task which will send imp or joker and will gonna change it's sprite into the next layer if you destroy the next layer before the sprite changing was completed the game will be confused leading to a crash Adding immune time will prevent that from happening I dunno its just my opinion Here is some useless fact i found :D - There was exactly 36 twin sunflower when magnifying grass used it's plant food, -Magnet shroom used exactly 20 buckets -Turkey pult used the op cactus strategy but still lost I am thinking about how zomvoid added 36 twin sunflowers, must have been a painful time while editing the code Also the 20 buckethead will take a painful time too thanks for the effort you literally repeated a single level 91 times just show this video

Don't waste your time here. Here's a general summary: Almost every plant fails. The only ones that can do it is the ones that don't technically run out of plant food but are only boosted by it. (i.e. cactus or electric currants.) Since they never really run out of plant food but have a permanent boost, it counts that as a win. If the cake didn't have the few frames of invincibility it does have, more plants would probably be able to kill it with "one plant food". Personally I find it quite stupid that an insta only takes out one lair, meaning you have to use 4 instants to kill the cake, making it statistically stronger than a Gargantuar.

I think you should ONLY test plants whose plant food ability has a duration. Cactus obviously won because you gave him as much time as needed to defeat the cake, as his ability just upgrades him. Technically all abilities are timed. When you apply the plant food, the plant shines white for a second, even Cactus does. So this would be the ONLY fair compraison. So, electric currant, cactus, all that stuff actually failed.
