Major think to note for the ARL: it's weak spot isn't the hull, it's weak spot is the turret. So angling against someone with any clue what they're doing isn't going to save you

@@Phantomaviation volumetrics can screw you over, and some tanks just can't penetrate it. And also as a Tiger P player, very few people know about the cupola spot. I have never died to a tiger in my Tiger P and every time I find a tiger I ring one through the cupola. And I have had times where I couldn't get through. It's not uncommon. And when you're playing a tiger with a brain, that mishap will get you killed.

For the tiger I(s), take mostly pzgr shells, as they have realistically a guaranteed one shot if you pen. But just in case, take some pzgr 39s for the extra 10mm of pen

If you get flanked in the VK 30, they won't shoot your engine. If they're behind you, they ding a round through your turret. If they're on your side, they'll wipe your crew or blast your ammo with your pathetically weak side armor doing you no favors. Also, these metal sheets of paper you have for side armor make angling earlier panthers not viable, as a tank with good angle pen (like Soviet tanks) will still shred through your side thanks to how thin it is

They are all good in my opinion. The tiger requires some skill with angleing and not being too much ammunition. The T-34/85 is a great platoon as well. And while the EBR might not be the best the ARL-44 slaps hard it’s a French king tiger.

Tiger 1 platoons is one of the best T4 basic platoons you can get (not premium/GE) besides T-34-85, Is-2 and Panther D, but I wouldn't recommend it to new players like me who doesn't really know about its weaknesses yet. You will have to do EXTRA WORK for it to perfectly become a threat to your enemies. First up, you will have to PERFECTLY ANGLED it if you want to ricochet enemies rounds, but sometimes even if you have perfectly angled it, you will still get penetrated by much higher calibre cannon (Is-2, SU-152, SU-122, SU-100, Tiger II, ARL etc are the counter for your angled tiger 1). And if you don't perfectly angled it, like over angled it (side armor facing towards the enemy) or under angled (your front side still not angled enough to ricochet enemies rounds) you are basically dead, even a sherman can penetrate your Tiger 1, so its a hard extra work to do for newbies. Second, even though its front turret armor is thick enough to defend against enemies 75-85mm, its turret sill has many weaknesses when against much higher calibre (its front cheeks, sides and back turret armor) so an Is-2 or Tiger II is enough to knock out your whole tank crew with one shot and you cannot counter this outcome by any chance (if you angled your turret then you exposing its vulnerable weak side turret armor) and this is my personal experiences while using the Tiger 1 tank (im a newbie and i don't know about this yet back then) even sometimes a T-34-85 and Panther can penetrate your front turret armor (idk how) and its really painful when you are in one v one situations against the superior enemy tank like Is-2 or Tiger II Third, even though it has 88mm cannon with high penetration capabilities, it still cannot penetrate the Is-2 and Tiger II armor (mostly because of their THICK SLOPPED Armor) but you can still outcome this situation by aiming at Is-2 driver hatch and its sides armor (you can aim lower but the transmission mostly block your rounds for reaching the tank crew), and aim at tiger II's front turret cheeks and pray it to penetrate (mostly won't penetrate or do little-mid damage) or its side armor (the most vulnerable spot for your Tiger 1 to one shot the Tiger II) Fourth, Its sides armor (turret and hull) are vulnerable to enemies tank to one shot your Tiger I tank Fifth, its reverse speed is painfully slow (4-6 km/h) Sixth, its turret rotations are slow (wouldn't say the worst but still slow) So yeah, i wouldn't say it's a great option for newbies like me to firstly choose Tiger I over others, unless you are a veteran at wt and know about all tanks weaknesses. I would recommend newbies to choose the T-34-85 over Tiger I because of its balanced statistics and its bias, Trust me its worth it. Tiger I platoon is a great threat at T4-T5 if you know how to play it.

Basically: Tiger I platoon is a great option for damage dealing or attacking at T4-T5 because of its 88mm and its penetration capabilities. T-34-85 platoon is a good platoon at T4-T5 for its balanced statistics (and bias if you include it). E.B.R.... decent maybe? well ARL is good with 215mm penetration capabilities and good armor, FL10 is decent with 183mm penetration capabilities but weak armor.

I would recommend the France platoon that is shown in this video, for those who enjoy BRRRRRR gameplay because the tank with the big machine gun has the biggest caliber and penetration therefore you can use it effectively against tanks and it is very fun if you ask me😍 AMX-13 CDA 40

All of these tanks should be used by your playstile as in some conditions a tank is Better and one is worse. If you like flanking but also having a heavy tank just in case,you should pick the EBR,but don't make pushes unless you are using an ARL 44 as the other tanks in the platton have pretty weak armor,the ARL 44 has also good offensive capabilities and really good armor,while other tanks in the platton are better at flankinng and at dodging shots, they have less armor and offensive capabilities. The T-34-85 (DT-5) has good armor and an average cannon for it's level and has decent offensive and defensive capabilities,the IS-1 is pretty much the same thing but it has way more armor giving it more offensive and defensive capabilities. The SU-152 Is an Tank destroyers that can pretty much destroy anithing from it's big cannon and big sheels whit gives it huge offensive capabilities,but it's armor is kind of weak,it can only carry 20 sheels and it has a long reload,giving it bad defensive capabilities. Pick this if you like having different tank tipes to handke every situation. For the Tiger H1, it's a good tank whit great armor and great power. It has very good offensive capabilities but it's sides can be pretty vulnerable which can lead to ammo explosion if the enemy aims correctly,but it still has decent defensive capabilities,the VK3002 (M) is pretty much the same things but it has less armor and hitting at a vulnerable spot has a high change of leading to death immediatly. But it does have better penetration, it has the same capabilities as the Tiger H1. The Hetzer is an Tank destroyer which is pretty mid but it's armor is pretty weak.Only pick this if you want to be a tank.

@@Justbecausewhy_not no you just get one shot by everything, both yhe platoons are bad because they only have one good tank, (tiger and is1) and one kinda good tank (panther and su152). while all of the EBR's vehicles are fun, ebr itself is very fast and easy to flank with, m4a1 fl10 is a fun high damage vehicle (since it has a tier VI gun at tier III) while the arl is straight up overpowered because it's front is unpenetratable, it easily soaks up 75-76mm aphe from the sides and it's turret cheeks ara a volumetric nightmare to go through. and the amx13 dca is a pretty fun albiet situational anti tank spaa
