Great video, thank you for all the information. I am testing the use of SH (3%) on French tiles. My doubt is that they are made of clay and I am not sure if it can affect the pores aggressively. What do you think?
@LBCExteriorCleaningАй бұрын
@@Alandiablo Hi Alan Thanks for your positive comments 3% is a fairly weak concentration so should be fine but might be able to help better if you send across some pictures of the tiles Thanks

Excellent info... What do you use on old worn fibre cement tiles where patches have worn away where moss has sat there to long... Thanks Andrew
@LBCExteriorCleaning2 жыл бұрын
HI Andrew is it the imitation slate fiber tiles you mean? if its these then you have to clean extra carefully with lower pressure than normal. Or if you are referring to sandy faced concrete tiles where you can see the faded colour where moss has fallen then there's two options really. Manual scrape and biocide which will leave roof moss free but similar appearance or a dull pressure wash and recoat with a coloured breathable tile sealant which will be uniform and also ensure the water runs off the tiles better. Hope that helps

Great concise advice, having these in the back of your head when visiting a job will really help. What biocide are you using on tile and slate to remove lichen and moss? SH or something else?
@LBCExteriorCleaning2 жыл бұрын
Hi Micheal, thanks for your comment we use BAC 50 or something similar

@@1702jtma hey We have many hot water pressure washing systems. Some Aquilla, some Falch It’s not too heavy to work with just the hose and the lance

Would you apply a biocide after softwashing or is that a useless operation ?

What would be the method for a slate tile? You wouldnt scrape or pressure wash slate would you?just steam clean? Also the autobrush thing on the pole. Would you use that on slate? Does the brush thing get used with biocide, steam, high pressure? All of the above?

do you find that either clay or concrete will look better for longer
@LBCExteriorCleaning2 жыл бұрын
Hi Micheal I think clay looks better for longer as concrete is more porous so organic growth will grow more easily.

What steam cleaning machines do you guys use?

Hey Ducati, we have a Doff machine, a couple of Aquillas, A falch, a hot and mighty, and a couple more pressure washers and mazzonni boiler combos, how about you?
