Yea they seem to make very good coolers, so I really think it will be pretty good for a dual slot card. Its ridiculous how almost all the cards are 3 slots or more these days, there's situations when someone might need a dual slot card.

There's a clone of the card by a foreign AIB if memory serves. And I got this card for my SFF machine specifically because 40-series cards have been overly thick. It's really in a class of its own when thinking about how it could compare with other 4070Ti offerings.

Unfortunately PNY has changed the cooling characteristics of the latest RTX 4070 Ti/4090 XLR8 models and currently the card fans start at 1450RPM (Full load ~1600-1700RPM).... (manually also there is no way to go below 1450RPM - 30%) :( There is a thread about this on the TechPowerUp forum.

Asus TUF has a significant size advantage: for some smaller cases this is the best 4xxx series card you can fit in. In my case it settled well into my Corsair 280X, I didn't even have to take off my front or bottom fans

Out of all the gpus i've ever had there wasn't a single one that had an *audible* coil whine. Either i have extreme luck or it's all down to quality psu and clean power outlet.

Inno3d X3 should be noted, it is the only two-slot card in the 40 series. Which is ideal for minitx systems and for its size it has a pretty decent cooling and noise level (in addition to the fact that it is one of the cheapest 4070ti)

I'm very happy with my Gigabyte Eagle OC 4070 Ti in an SFF build; great performance, cool and quiet... and it fits in a Lian Li Q58 with room to spare! Because of its smaller size, I suspect the Eagle actually runs a little bit warmer than its Gaming OC stablemate though.

Which card revision 1 or 2 do you have? It's a big difference. Rev1 has dimensions L=301 W=136 H=58 mm. Rev2 has dimensions L=261 W=126 H=50 mm.

Inno3D X3 4070 ti is only dual slot and 300mm long, the only 40 series card that fits in my case. I think it should be mentioned and it deserves a higher tier because it is not a behemoth like the rest...

There's several 4070 Ti's at 300-305mm, however some are 2.5-3 slots, the larger cards usually are most quiet and has better temps because cooling is superior (bigger heatsinks, better fans, higher quality components in general). Compact typically means higher temps and noise. If you can fit a bigger card, it will be a better option in pretty much all cases. If you only can fit 2 slot, then sure, but the score is still correct, because he look at THERMALS, VRM QUALITY etc.

agreed. My old 3060ti gaming oc pro was a monster overclocker at reasonable temps. Highest i saw was 73c at 2200mhz core and +1000mhz on the memory. The new 4070ti gaming oc does just over 3000mhz on the core and +1500mhz on the memory but power draw gets above 300w.

ill assume V1 was used for gigabytes gaming OC? (yea its the one i have.) i was overclocked to nearly 3000ghz core clock (with boost) but found that undervolting 900mv to 2650 core was better since i only lost 4fps while dropping half the wattage. (but) that oc profile is there as im still highly into overclocking. hence 5800x C/O with PBO with 4x8 3200c14 clock at 2000/4000 mhz imc (a few whea 19s but i resolved this with IOD voltage iirc) never the less. which version of the gaming OC did you use?

I own a Zotac Trinity 3070 ti, and yes their fan are NOISY AF when you get 80-100% fan speed, and it's VRAM still gets super hot going past 91'c. Sounds like Zotac didn't improve their fan noise with the 4000 series.

Please advise, I bought a new 4070Ti Asus Rog Strix OC. But at maximum load it heats up to 70C at 285W and above. In stress tests in Furmark gives up to 72C Does everyone have such temperature? Is it normal? Vbios mode is set Performance overclocking mode is set mostly default too. and there's no problem with cooling in the case, either. and neither does the CPU (water-cooled). so there can't be any reason for that either. Resolution 3440X1440 155Hz I thought it should be on the level of Aorus Master in terms of temperature and cooling. but so far it seems even hotter than the TUF version.

The "OC" version that you're talking about is the exact same card as the "non-oc" version, but they apply a +60MHz clock speed to the bios which is laughable and pointless. You can do the same thing with the non-oc version in 3 seconds by moving a slider in afterburner.

It is the same GPU with a small 60Mhz overclock that you can do on the non OC model. The XLR8 has an excellent and large cooler. A good choice for a quiet card if it fits your case.

There's a Revision 2.0 version of the Gaming OC by Gigabyte. It's apparently a bit shorter than the 1.0 and also uses Displayport 1.4a instead of 1.4. You think it will perform similarly or worse? .... I'm kinda worried.

Also have to consider the gpu models that have that locking mechanism that have a long gap which when paired with heavy beefy coolers are prone to cracking the pcb like all the Gigabyte gpu models, even founders edition 4090 are cracking since it has that type of locking mechanism and a heavy cooler, so far the only 40 series gpu that I saw that don't use those are from MSI and ASUS

If you're going to be using the card for 4-5 year's get at least 16 gb VRAM my recommendation is you get the 4080 if the price difference between it and 7900xtx is only 100-200 dollars anything more feels like a waste well at end of day it depends on how are planning on using the GPU if you want use ray tracing or blender 4080 if you're fine with no ray tracing go for 7900xtx it has more VRAM and the performance for video editing in da Vinci is about the same

My Zotac trinity non OC goes all the way up 3000mhz (+210Mhz) core and +1300mhz memory with max temperature of 65c. I can provide you with proof if you like. Have no idea how it ended up as a C tier.

@@omar1996mohammed Absolutely! The PNY is fantastic. Not a single issue with it and even after an intense 5 hour MW2 gaming session the temps never went over 63 degrees

Regarding Galax cards, they seem to have something called 1clip booster which are an extra attachable fan on the back of the PCB. Was that simply just for the looks? Because I expected for them to rank way higher with that kind of cooling gimmick.

Its really just that. A gimmick. From what I seen it helps temps by 1-2C at best.

@@OTechnology Well, thats about expected, 2C aint little at peak power, see how much you have to bring the clock down for 2C, it wont be 15-20Mhz.

You should be fine, 13700k is one of the fastest cpu for gaming
