I'm English and I went to Denmark once and loved it. So did my kids. We've been to Finland seven times to have summer holidays in a mökki - a log cabin by a lake. Towards the end of the day, before you cook your sausages over a fire and drink a cold beer, you sit in the sauna looking at the trees through the window, feeling your brain slowing down, you swim naked in the lake and the cold water just feels like tingles on your skin and then you stop swimming and realise all you can hear is the sound of the water, the breeze through the tree branches, your own breathing and maybe a bird or two. And you just feel so happy.

I have a tough time choosing one Scandinavian country over another. But considering all the time I’ve spend in Sweden, I gotta say I feel more connected to it. All those times spent in the summer, and the fact that my grandfather spoke Swedish (Åland🇦🇽) make me love the language even more. Swedes are cool to hang out with, and are often more than willing to join an adventure, which I love. Not to mention they produce the nectar of life, my all time favourite ✨Julmust✨ Denmark is filled to the brim with so many outstanding people. They are outgoing, really easy to talk to, fun to party with, and most of them don’t do BS. The language is really, eeeh, different. If a Dane speak to quickly, I don’t stand a chance, specially when drunk, but when drunk there is no need to understand what they say, they make you laugh no matter what. And danish smørrebrød are really💯🤌🏻 Finland is not a part of Scandinavia, and are often left on the side line in many sibling fights between the 3, but the one thing that really sticks out for me with Finland, is how much pride they put in all the things they do. Not only with how they in silence have grown strong and have overcome hard times, but if you also look at the quality of everything they produce. (Try braking an old Nokia, or find a better boat than Buster). They are truly a proud people, and have my outmost respect. I know we all joke around, make fun of each other, and have intense rivalry at times, but I truly love and value the friendship and family bonds we share. Much love from Norway 🇳🇴

I've been to Norway a few times ( 4 times to be exact), once to Sweden and I travelled through Denmark on my way to Faroe Islands. Sadly, I heven't visited Finland or Iceland yet. Norway was my very first foreign country ever, which I visited as a 9-year-old and it impressed me beyond words in so many ways but the beauty of nature would probably be number 1. My uncle was a Norwegian and lived in the far north, so I could experience all those wonderful landscapes and richness of natural environment. My dream is to explore some more this gorgeous nature of the Lappland region some time in the near future. Thank you for this well-balanced and so, so inspiring video :) . Much love for all my Vikings brothers and sisters from Poland :).

From someone who has been hanging out mostly in Southern Europe the last few years, the weather in Northern Europe is BETTER. When the sun is scorching there's not much you can do. Plus, apparently, the cold is a necessity to build highly functional and inclusive societies.
@theGoldjey2 жыл бұрын
you are right. and also looking at how the climate will change it will only get worse in southern Europe with many many many wild fires. also heavy rain and floods because of the high amount of water condensation. the only bearable place to live longterm is Scandinavia, Ireland, Iceland & Baltic countries as far as Europe goes

You can only imagine what learning foreign languages is like for us Finns lol. Every other language is completely different from our own, it makes it that much harder to learn Indo-European languages, as we have pretty much zero in common with any of them.

As a German I feel treated more friendly by Swedes in general than by Danes which may have to do something with the history / time of occupation etc, plus as a Northern German the nature in Denmark is the same for me so actually pretty boring. Going to Sweden, I love the forests and lakes, and find the reclusiveness and people NOT being so talkative very pleasant indeed. It would be the country to emigrate for me as well. Norway would be equally interesting but very expensive for me living in Germany, plus a little far away. Staying in the south or middle of Sweden is perfect for me.

As a southern Swede i notice that a lot of Swedes say the same about Germany. Very polite and insanely beautiful architecture.

I feel that most Germans visitig are very nice and polite and so are allso people from Denmark. When I go abroad its generally to Denmark and Germany, for me, living in the dark forests of Småland, Denmark and Germany are so beautyfull and I love your food and beer.

As a Montenegrin I really love Scandinavian countries, but personally I prefer Norway a bit more, I guess because that country reminds me of the north Montenegro where i'm originally from. Countless lakes, and mountains, rivers, untouched nature I guess. But since I spoke with people from all the Scandinavian countries including Finland, i'd say that the most relaxed and more communicative are Danes and Finns. Norwegians and Swedes seem kinda private, but heck we're all people, so we're naturally different. Big ups from Sveti Stefan, Montenegro.
