I'm disappointed in the reception on the RTL-SDR V3 I recently got with the included dipole antenna. I'm not allowed to have an outside antenna. Will an SDRplay do better? Can you recommend any indoor antennas for hf and uhf? Thank you.

Apologies for the delay in replying. For HF, an active mag loop antenna is recommended and for UHF it's all about height and in-building attenuation. Some considerations are listed here under "Antenna Suggestions" although the best thing to do is join one of the forums and get experiences from other SDRplay users - see "Community Links" www.sdrplay.com/misc/

Will the higher impedance input in the RSPduo provide better impedance tuning if you plug in less optimised antennas e.g. a piece of wire of random length?

Yes, the idea was to provide better matching in the case where a wire comes directly to the unit rather than via a coax feed.

Will it also see 11meter? Amateur bands along with citizen band?

Yes. Our SDRuno software has a band button for the 10 metre amateur band. The upcoming SDRconnect software will have a button for both 10m and the 11m Citizens Band. Right now you can easily select the citizens band by selecting the frequency you want to centre on, and use zoom to say cover all frequencies from 27MHz to 28 MHz. Yes - currently still runs on Windows 7. It will run with 4GB RAM if you don't have too much else running int he background. An i5 Pentium or better should be fine.
