I was honestly so ready to fight your tier list, but I actually agree with how you set them. I’ve read berserk and I’ve seen Vinland saga, and I like how they both kind of start mid story and toss you directly into the mystery and action instead of how the anime takes it chronologically. I’ve never read vagabond but watching you look over the first chapter really makes me want to now! I think if I had read Vinland saga instead of watching it, I might have placed it higher than berserk because the story in Vinland saga is really cool and arguably better than berserk in terms of complexity. I think berserk has a slight edge because it builds a fantasy world as opposed to Vinland saga where much of it is very realistic. Can’t really speak on Vegabond but I’m going to read it now!

Berserk is my absolute favorite manga of all time; Vagabond and Vinland Saga certainly follow closely after. In the end all 3 books are incredible stories, so truly I can't blame you for liking one more over the other. Glad to hear your perspective on them, if you like darker stories I also reccomend Claymore, Gantz, and Ubël Blatt.

@Teniz it's a story about a mysterious half-elf child that appears with the goal of killing the 7 Legandary heroes. It can be a bit hard for some people to read, but I do feel it fits the Dark Fantasy category well.

I’d say Vinland since it begins with more action and immediately connects you to the characters and their personalities. Vagabond does a great job, and personally my favorite of the two, but it does take more time to get into than vagabond
