I was leaning towards Paleo Pines because I really liked the concept, but after watching your video, I want to play Winds of Anthos even more now

Started playing Winds of Anthos when you said it surprisingly wasn’t very buggy / laggy, and I am having a blast so far! Trying to woo Kaimana~ Fae Farm looks like it has too much going on for a farming sim. I like to just kinda turn my brain off after a long day, ya know? Never been a dinosaur fan, so Paleo isn’t looking particularly attractive to me, but I can appreciate how cute the dinos look

Hoping to get winds of anthos this week or early next cant wait. I hope you post more gameplay videos. It seems for a lot of people who are streaming and putting videos out they still haven't beat the main game so I actually love that u have to take it time because there's so much to do and a huge map to complete before getting married cause I always kinda rushed especially if it takes a while to get hearts up in previous games.

You do have friendship levels in Paleo Pines! Just no romance. Friendship levels unlock special quests to get to know the characters better and other perks like discounts at their shops

I have been so pleasantly surprised by Harvest Moon. When i first saw the trailers & pics i didnt like the style but in game (i have PC) it actually looks so much better. The start was slow and confusing but once you unlock the barn/finish the "tutorial" section and expand your stamina the game opens up SO much and im kinda obsessed. The world is a *tiny* empty feeling in some areas but it's not game breaking imo. Theres so many forageables and crops and locations to discover. I love all the farm locations. So far ive unlocked about 7 but theres def more. The second farm plot you unlock is my fav bc it's such a pretty countryside. I hope they add insects at some point bc it's the only popular game mechanic these days that's missing, but theres so much to do anyway. I would 100% recommend it if you like harvest moon and animals bc there are SO many animals (and crops!) to pick from. I wanted to badly to love Fae Farm and while I do enjoy it theres just something missing in terms of that special heart and spark (i think bc the world and village feels so dead, socially). I'd say Fae Farm is great if you love customization and "cute/cozy" as an aesthetic more than plot or gameplay, but Anthos has really hit the whole package for me thus far and im only like 30% into the story.

Amazon has yet to deliver my copy of HM, but I look forward to playing it. I'm really loving Fae Farm, although I agree the romance part of the game isn't good. I was dating Jack, then one day I completed a quest for him and he became my spouse. No wedding, nothing. He doesn't even live with me. Presently I'm dating all the other characters to see if I can marry another since I can no longer reset my relationship with him. Otherwise the game is a lot of fun.

5:25 love the horse’s hoof/leg ratio. I thought it was a way to big of a difference in SOS. I do understand it’s to make them look “cuter” but it just ended up looking off to me instead 😅.

I played fae farm the first week after release haven't touched it since. I got bored so quick. Tried the demo of paleo pines didn't like it. Harvest moon wouldn't recognize my controller so had to refund it. 😂

Haha, yeah, I would recommend the Switch version of Harvest Moon. Can’t say anything about the other versions.

I have Fae Farm but so tempted to try HM because of the praises I've been hearing! Paleo Pines is cute but I don't think it's for me, the exclusion of romance makes me think that the game is marketed to kids, your character also looks like a child so I don't know..

Yeah, I kind of also got the feeling that Paleo Pines is more aimed at a younger audience than most other farming sims. You should try Harvest Moon Winds of Anthos sometime! If you’re on the fence you could wait for a sale.

Just ordered HM WoA for Switch. Steam port is apparently terrible so atleast I can play handheld and docked this way.

Yeah, the Switch version of Harvest Moon runs pretty well, with just the occasional frame drop. Runs much better than Pokémon Violet & Scarlet, haha… I hope you enjoy the Winds of Anthos!

​@jigzyonline On Switch, the game tries to reach 60 fps but it isn't capped at 60fps so the framerate fluctuates in the numbers between 60 and 30. Still better than One World though, at least the framerate doesn't cause the music to skip like in One World, though only in Load Screens for WoA. Still perfectly playable and loads of fun!

I played Fae Farm like crazy the first week or so and loved it. Harvest Moon I was on the fence about until your video on it. Thank you, what a pleasant surprise! I love it so much, I can’t wait to see their next one. Now if they can just build on this foundation. I almost got Paleo but there are just a lot of games coming out and I know I wouldn’t play it right now. Not a fan of these games now always having dlc. It makes them more expensive than AAA games that have a much higher development budget. In any case, I don’t like buying digital dlc on Nintendo so I got both on Steam, then I at least get 60fps+.

I'm just so glad so many people are enjoying Harvest Moon again. After the split between Natsume and Marvelous it's just been an uphill battle for Natsume and Appci but I feel like these two have finally found a winning formula that works, and all they had to do was take the foundation laid by One World and make it better, and that's exactly what they did. I'm so happy for them, and I'm happy for us because we finally have a great Harvest Moon game that doesn't feel like a soulless cashgrab. It is clear to me now that they have really been trying to cook, but one thing or another led to the games missing the mark but WoA feels like the culmination of their efforts, Harvest Moon's "Legends Arceus Moment". The teams at Natsume and Appci should be proud, they did it! They more or less accomplished their goal to "Make Everyone Happy!"

I played the demo of Paleo Pines and it seemed like a game that was up my ally but I was kinda disappointed with the demo :( Even on PC the loading screens were a little annoying. I want to play Fae Farms one day but the price point is a bit steep for me right now.

Im sure Ill play all 3 eventually, but currently Ive only played winds of anthos, and I think its a super fun, great game worth playing for any farm sim fan While the game is certainly not perfect, Id really argue that most of the complaints about the game _are_ overblown quite a bit. For example, yes walking uses stamina, but it uses so little of it, and I never once passed out from exhaustion. Also criticisms of natsume games should be taken with some small skepticism as there are many people out there who are simply fully invested in seeing natsume fail, sadly But the game is really enjoyable and easy to get lost in. Ill probly get the other two down the line when Ive saved up enough money to spend on games. Thought paleopines looked good but the review here kinda has me worried about it

I was excited to play Paleo Pines… But yeah it was VERY underwhelming for me. My guess is that it plays much better on PC than the Switch. I had seen a lot of other content creators rave about it…

I have only played 1 other farm sim, ( if minecraft counts then 2) and i found harvest moons system very user friendly. My only issue is travel time. Looking forward to getting a mount or fast travel. I got about 6 hours in but after seeing more of your gameplay i restarted using the female character. I love the HM animation style most out of these 3 too.

I have Fae Farm on switch and Paleo Pines on the ps5 and they’re amazing! Only thing is the fae farm load times, but that may just be my wifi or connection bc it’s known to be super clunky (not just for games but other stuff too)

Wow, on my Switch I never had any problems with load times with Fae Farm or Harvest Moon. Anyway, in Fae Farm luckily you don’t have to deal with load screens too often. In Paleo Pines they are everywhere.

The controls are definitely too clunky when farming. It took me way too long to figure out the controls. Why do they make you HOLD the A button to do actions?
