You dishonestly reframe trying to finish a race after first place has already been won as "not admitting defeat", and now you bring up a vague reference to a "game" (noticeably switching away from "sport") which doesn't have a second place despite the one we're talking about clearly having something similar which was the whole point. There are legitimate reasons not to do the "Teamwork" at the flagpole such as the structure of the game being intended to reward those who are close, that people aren't responsible for each other's points, or the risks of win-sniping. You're not being required to participate in it. But choosing to do so is similar to the behavior that we consider "good sportsmanship" where athletes help and encourage each other.

When it comes to teamwork and giving away points to other players at the end of multiplayer levels, I really do think it helps to wait and give more players the points. I believe you get more points for winning a level when the players you go against have more points, so if everyone waits at the end of levels and let’s 2/3 players everytime, the player base would have more points overall, giving you more higher tier players to play against and in turn giving you more points whenever you win. Idk if this makes sense but I really like to see ryu all happy and hyped up over a game vs his kinda layed back mood. It's just a nice change

I think that you don’t have to wait but it’s honestly just a friendly gesture for anyone who wants to do it, and by waiting you can form some allies for future games

If someone else is close you wait otherwise you don’t wait, I think that’s the best balance.

I mean I've spent dozens of hours watching GPB multiplayer, so the teamwork thing is kind of ingrained in me as he's basically all about it. If you want to rise in the ranks, why not? You don't get more points if nobody else gets to the pole with you, but if you make a habit of waiting for people, when they see your name in future races they'll be more likely to think "this dude's chill, I'll wait for him if I win"

This was the most entertaining mm2 multiplayer video I've seen. The squashing canons and the crazy 3-way were hilarious. Kudos mate, keep up the great content, you're helping all of us thru lockdown 👋

I'm pretty sure the level at 6:30 is from Kirby 64! I recognize the layout of the crushing section and the thwomp section and it looks like they tried to make a factory at the start. That's such a cool level design!

Ryu being S+ is lowkey kind of a lowball, he's way higher if there were higher rankings. GM at least.

TEAMWORK has always seemed the best strategy. When you wait at the finish line, three out of four players are happy instead of just one. But this is a competition. If you wanted to help your fellow player, you might encourage them by writing a message or friending them. But nobody wants second, and you can't give up first, so why wait? The more I think about it, the less I think teamwork... works.

Isn't the point of versus to come out on top, I don't see any reason to do teamwork on versus.
