Which side of photo paper to paint on with alcohol ink

This is one of the questions I get asked the most. In this video, I will share the pros and cons of painting on either the glossy or matte side. I hope you find this helpful and give each technique a try.

Those flowers are so pretty!❤ I wonder if the glossy side makes the alcohol ink more UV resistant. It would be nice to not have to seal them. I wonder how UV sealant works on the glossy side. I haven't tried sealing it on the photo side yet.

That's a great question. I never seal my ai paintings unless I sell, give away, or display them.

@VivoVintageDesigns I seal my better paintings but most I haven't sealed. Even with them not exposed to light, I find that some of the inks become dusty and rub off.

@lauriebowen25 that's smart. I keep them in a drawer and the ones I like most are in a plastic sleeve for protection.
