I carry the Bellroy Sling Lite and love it. There is plenty of room for my iPad mini, notebook, pen, phone, Topo designs accessory bag and charging cables. Love the magnetic clasp on the strap as well.

Congrats on 10k Subs man! Well deserved. I carry the AER City Sling 2 and love that thing. The organization is my favorite part. I will definitely have to check out some of these new ones. I am a sucker for a good bag.

You and me both!! The City Sling 2 is chock full of features and I’m sure you’re getting so much use out of it. The Go Collection focuses on a more minimal and lightweight approach, the size limitation primarily forcing me to pack smarter. Cheers man and I’m here to answer any questions you might have 🤘🏼

@@RonKwok awesome. I can see the benefits of the Go collection. I do tend to put more in the city sling 2 than I need. So a smaller and more lightweight material would be nice.

Hoping for an update on this review with the newer bags that are 1.5L and under. Almost everyone is including 2-4L packs which im starting to find to big for me. Would still like to see the Go Sling 2 and Mini Fanny Sling against the Alpaka Go Sling Nano and the Bellroy Venture Hip Pack (used as a sling) or the Bellroy Lite Belt Bag

These are great suggestions man, I haven't gotten into Bellroy just yet but if the people want it, might have to happen 🙌

Been using a vertx tourist during summer as I carried off body a concealed carry pew pew. Was only in shorts and print shirt, so made OB carry a necessity! But now that its getting cold again, I can layer and carry on appendix! Current sling switched to was Alpaka's bravo sling max in xpac black, premier body armor insert, dark angel ifak, and 2 extra tourniquets, ipad mini 6, mx mini keyboard and mouse, umbrella, beats for ears as costco just had a clearance sale nearby. sog powerpint in blk, sog termy xr sig sauer legion branded knife, anker mag safe for extra power, has folding stand built in! for lights im stepping away from name name brand from overt tactical and also overtly techy and known brands like fenix and etc, to try COAST rechargeable line, have also their headlamp to couple for hands free lighting, for off duty I carry 2 mags on my hip, and 4 more in my bag, after working riots Ill never be caught under equiped again! titanium insulated tumbler, a micro filter my agency provided, that I some how have a case of for no reason hahaha. very compact. I also carry drink mixes from walmart, as well breakfast bars, those tootsie lolis. have those ti tubes from county comm for aspirin, tylenol, etc. I also have those hard use ssd's the grey and orange ones? 2tb models? and just got a macbook trying to learn the platform for writing and trying to learn how to do videos at my age hahaha.

Bought the moment mini based on that other video you did and I totally love it. I fly for a living so I keep it in my roller bag for outings where I don’t wanna load up my pockets. It takes up like zero space so it’s perfect to have in there at the ready.

I got the moment 1l per your recommendation and love it. I will say that my wife's lululemon 1 liter is a bit better because it includes a extra pocket in the back. I was very surprised with the Lululemon bag. Loving the moment 1L though and actually have a 2L evergoods sling also that i rock on longer days.

I carry the Chrome Industries Tensil Hip Pack. A little pricy ($120) but a lot of compartments. I also have a large sling also from Chrome called Kadet ($100). What are your thoughts on Chrome bags?
@RonKwok2 жыл бұрын
Nice! Looks like you know what you like and have narrowed it down to a duo of packs that’ll work for you. I haven’t personally tested a Chrome bag, the airplane seatbelt clasp that’s signature to the Chrome Industries look isn’t for me. Looks solid though and I’m glad you’re getting mileage out of em!

Very nice review Ron, personally ive tried my brother wandrd D1 fanny. And to me once u go magnetic clasp, cant see buckles the same way again... Only thing D1 is missing is xpac material. But my question to you is the straps on the mtw, can they be swapped??
@RonKwok Жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed the review! I haven't personally tried the WANDRD D1 but it looks dope, awesomely weather resistant, and you're right about magnetic clasps - once you use it, buckles just don't hit as hard haha. The MTW fanny slings cannot be swapped, they are sewn on. Hope that helps!
@jasonmanahan6188 Жыл бұрын
@@RonKwok hope u get ur hands on one... Its on version 2 now, honestly the only downfall of sling is rubber coating flakes off, that being said idk if my bro left it under the sun at one point, but it did flake off on corners due to stretch and some abrasion, still an excellent bag though.

Are all these sling easy to open and close with one hand? I'm looking for something that I can wear while I'm catching the train to work and have a coffee in one hand.
@RonKwok2 жыл бұрын
It’s a tricky question. They all have high quality zippers that can be smoothly operated, but the ease of opening with one hand is a mechanical issue-if you have a sling that’s packed and heavy, it’s more likely to stay put when you apply a force to it with one hand to open (without a second to keep the sling from shifting). With this logic, the larger slings like the MTW Fanny 2L would fit the bill. BUT, if you wanna go minimal and pack lighter, this point is moot anyway bc you won’t have a heavy loadout, regardless of how big the sling is. At that point it’s a matter of technique and juggling how to do stuff w one hand, which many of us have had to figure out one way or another lol Tldr; shop for a high quality sling that selects quality YKK zippers and suits your daily kit, and practice one-handed operation frequently 👌🏼

Loved this video! Still figuring out what sub 2L sling to get, but I really needed this for the Moment MTW 1L and Aer Go Sling 2. I’ve had some tech pouches that convert into slings on my list as well, more specifically: Alpaka Utility Pouch, Alpaka Tech Case Mini, and the Wandrd Tech Bag in Small. I’d love to hear your opinions if you ever end up checking one of these out! In the mean time I also plan to check out the Mystery Ranch Forager Hip Mini at my local REI. Love the content, can’t wait to see more!

Thanks awesome, I’m glad the vid helped narrow it down! Those are all good choices I’ll have to dive deeper into later on. I’ve had experience w the Alpaka Tech Case full size which converts to a sling also, but I’ve found that I prefer a woven in strap connection as opposed to a clip in. Thanks for your support and can’t wait to see what you decide on!
