@@MillieAdrian I would think it's better to pick one or two platforms and really build it/them up, vs. the scattershot running-yourself-into-the-ground-with-exhaustion approach...especially if someone is doing it on their own, rather than with the help of a team. We only have so much time and life force energy and I tend to lean towards quality (these days) vs. quantity. Would love to hear your thoughts on that. Thanks!

Love this! I've been focusing on JUST youtube for a couple years & wanted to explore more short-form content apps - was debating between Instagram or Tiktok to see which one to focus on. I didn't think about the Tiktok point you made (that it defaults to the For You Page instead of the Following page) & how Instagram has more of a way to reach (DMs, calls, etc). Binge-watching the rest of your instagram videos now!

I agree so much! I love connecting with my audience in real time on Insta, showing parts of my day, getting reactions etc and I feel like that is indeed missing on Tiktok due to the for you page being the focus. I hope they fix that because casual short videos could be a great way to connect 👀 I also love how you kept it real at the end, saying that without commitment even through difficult times it simply won’t work 🤷🏻‍♀️ Subscribed :)

This was great, thanks, Millie! I've definitely been leaning towards KZbin, as a complement to my blog. Although it may take more time, effort, energy, and have a steeper learning curve, I love that content is more evergreen. People have been trying to get me to go to TikTok, but I don't want to promote the culture of mindless scrolling. Tik Tok deleted my account on New Year’s for no reason I mean blocked it completely. All I do is post something that they been first warn me about it that I appealed it. They asked me for for their forgiveness. They release my content and then the next day they blocked all four videos that I had and blocked my whole account because of that completely saying that they’ve been warning me and there is nowhere you can appeal that anymore just lost the whole account.

Wrong analysis on the subscribers number as well as maturity of tools. While TikTok started with short videos way back in 2017. KZbin shorts and IG reels was later. Btw twitter Vine was the first mover but could not sustain like Orkut. Bit of unbiased researched needed
