Where are Blender and Houdini? Also, why aren't more VFX houses using Blender? It's so good and it is all in one software. You can create 3D models, Texture them, do FX Simulation, Render, and also composite in it..

Hahaha typical Engineering student question. Although not to make fun of you but I'm gonna answer your question. 1> You don't need any degree, marksheet or your previous studying background to get into this field. As your value of degree in VFX/Animation is worth Zero unless you've got a B.Sc degree from this field i.e. filmmaking or animation. 2> VFX/Animation needs proper dedication from your own even if you've joined any institute or college to learn this skill. 3> There is nothing like placement or job security in this field. You get job in this field by showing your work portfolio which will atleast take 3 years to make one of your depending upon how much time you've put into learning this skill.
