I've been riding the SL for close to six months and it is a gem. I mostly ride the rolling, undulating, sweet turning trails in the JEM trail system near Zion National Park and I wouldn't want anything different. Takes the stress off my poor knees and pushes me when my COVID depleted lungs are struggling. 👍

I just got a 2021 Turbo Levo Comp. Having the extra power available is a nice feature on the Levo but the SL would be adequate. To me the SL feels like a mountain bike. The Levo rides a bit like a dirt bike. I have an MX background so I chose the Levo. Also I think the Levo should have better resale options. They are both great bikes.

Just bought a discontinued Bulls Wildflow with the new Fazua 55 nm motor. Its about 42 lbs so much closer to the Levo SL. Cant wait to try it out on some trails as my test ride on the street and up a pretty good hill was really easy and so maneuverable. Its pretty sad that they are not offering it anymore at least in the US.

I just got the Turbo Levo and after 3 weeks of riding with lots of hill climbs…. I think I’ve used the Turbo mode for a total of maybe 1 minute… mostly for curiosity. I prefer to be in Eco and Trail which is about 50/50 for me. I am considering to trade in for the SL but I heard the SL motor starts whining at higher RPM and that’s not nice considering my preferred cadence is 80-90+.

So I need to buy a turbo or SL and I'm not sure which one. When using a turbo I can keep up with my ebike friends (I imagine I could with SL too) but if they are in ebike I'm left in the dust no matter what I ride. So keeping up isn't a selling point for me. Why do you wish you had SL still? Is it because you feel more nimble on it like it's easier to control or...?

I choose the turbo levo comp w/o riding both. The one thing I really like about turbo levo is on some very steep little climbs that look un climbable. I’ve found on turbo you can get up things that almost don’t make sense if you can balance and learn that skill; it’s very cool coming off analog bikes and I don’t think the SL would be able to do the same at all. Thoughts? Solid vid👍

@@chercleveland3375 still winter here in the cold north so not much experience to share. If on the levo you never use turbo you should be ok on the sl as the turbo on the sl is similar to trail on the levo. If you do not ride much up big hills and do not ride with friend that like to ride turbo on their levos it should be good. A full fat is huge for ladies.

I have to make a decision to buy the turbo levo or SL. Please help me choose! I'm female. I rarely do long climbs. I want an Ebike to ride faster so I can jump bigger and better, shred harder and keep up with my pals. I have been borrowing a turbo levo but l need help loading it on and off rack. If no one can help I remove the battery but it's still pretty miserable. I have no problem loading my normal bike. I have yet to ride the turbo levo in boost mode. I started using trail mode recently and only on a few tiny sections. I mostly use Eco so far but I see myself using trail mode more often in the future. On the turbo levo I have definitely improved my jumping, overall riding skills and keep up with the guys. So I'm buying an ebike. Should I go with SL because people say it's lighter and more nimble and should be easier to jump, do drops and load onto car. Or should I stick with turbo levo because I'm already used to it and it's more stable, faster, longer battery and I think the sound is less annoying but it's insanely hard for me to lift. Please help!

I would recommend you getting the SL because of the weight issue you are describing. Over time you will get used to the power of the SL compared to the more powerful Turbo Levo. I have a 2020 Turbo Levo Comp and it is awesome, but it is heavy to lift. I ordered a 2021 Levo SL and should take delivery on it tomorrow and will have a better recommendation for you in a couple of weeks.

I bought the turbo levo full. I'm jumping way better than I ever have thought possible. I found a method to load it onto my car rack. And as for not getting a work out it's just not true... I used to ride everyday and now that I'm riding double the amount of trails, sessioning jumps like crazy I need a day off to recover and can only manage every other day for now. I am loving this E experience more than I ever imagined! Riding was already amazing but now it's triple amazing!

I am 64 and have a Turbo Levo but I like the idea of a lighter bike for 2 reasons. #1- it is super heavy to lift onto the bike rack #2- I have had crashes because I am unable to quickly stop the bike from tipping over because it is so heavy. Is it me or did the Levo SL sound much louder? That is important to me since I ride mostly with non ebikers and don't want to bother them with the noise.

You hear an ebike motor more when on it than being around it, So when dudes with camera/Mics ride theses bikes the noise is amplified. You'll have to test a bike out with someone riding along side you, Or vice versa, To get a true answer to your worry.

Seems as though the SL rider could ride from his house to meet the Turbo rider who drives to the trailhead. Then, the SL rider could pedal back home or get a ride with the Turbo rider depending on the duration of the group ride.

It seems as though the only tests anyone conducts for EMTB is climbing and then going on a gravity downhill. It misses an entire segment of in between stuff, rolling terrain. with short climbs and such…In these spots there is no question that the turbo Levo is faster. Where the SL bikes struggle, both Kenevo and Levo is having a lack of torque.. Any sort of rise that is hit is a problem. If you are simply shuttling and dropping in on a gravity run, it’s not as big a deal, and the SL’s are definitely more “poppy” on the downhills and jumps.

No one has mentioned it but………….One annoying thing about the Levo is the motor drag after you reach over 20 MPH, it’s like the brakes get put on. Let’s face it MTBing is not just up or down, but can be lots of flow, this is what I like about the SL, after 20 MPH the bike just transitions back and forth with no drag at all.
