Best explanation on the topic, hands down. You consistently answered questions I was having as you were thoroughly explaining. Metal blade serrated squeeges are rigid and should give consistent coating with little wear over. You didn’t mention them and I am assuming they should be avoided. Can you share your thoughts?

Hi Dave, thank you very much for taking the time to do this video. I do have a question. Which of the squeegees would I use to spread a base coat of polyaspartic? Notched or flat? Full flake coverage. I am afraid of not leaving enough material on the floor for the flake to attach.

I would suggest a small notch (1/8") for your base coat, then back roll with 3/8" roller cover to even it out.

Hi Dave how are you, which squeegee do you recommend for a polyurethane sealer and self level on rubber cast. Thanks

It all depends on how thick (mils) you want. Your product you are putting down should tell you how much coverage you get per gallon in square feet, this number will be at a certain thickness(mils). Certain products have a range of thickness. Many top clear coats can have a cloudy appearance when put on too thick. You will need to do some math (good charts online) to answer your question. Products that say 100% solids are usually accurate for coverage. When you have less solids then some of the product evaporates and you get less accurate. This can be a big problem for large areas where you need several gallons. Hope this helps
