The reason why Earthquake was so destructive is because it’s a “hit all” type move that’ll hit all grounded Pokémon, but since there are Pokémon everywhere, it’s going to hit the whole island. It’s also the reason why when Swampert uses Surf, it creates a giant tsunami.

@@LegendaryGamer983 it was. He explains it in the explanation video. Doesn’t make sense for Swampert to win when a third of the competition is grass types

Rillaboom is also the best grass type starter competitively for both vgc and singles, which is probably why it was the one to last longest. Venusaur, serperior and meowscarada have also been good, but usually only in one format or for a shorter amount of time or whatever

Incineroar is based on a “Heel” wrestler which are the bad guys the audience is supposed to root against which is why it’s a dark type.

@@CurmudgeonJones Well it has 5 more BST than Starter Pikachu, and roaming around on balloons is pretty much how both Starter Eevee and Starter Pikachu avoided so much. It wasn't until Eevee left the balloon chair that it was felled.

Little correction for Bulletproof since you mentioned it for Chesnaught, it protects from Bullet, Bomb, and Ball moves (the latter for Cannonballs and Musket Balls id assume) and its Soundproof that blocks sound moves.

The Eevelutions were included because of the Eevee you start with in XD Gale of Darkness. That’s also why Sylveon is missing since XD was pre gen 6.
