problem is: what exactly are correct metrics for patriotism? when you are happy to pay taxes ? when you sing national anthem at the stadium??
@LesbiansMarie4 жыл бұрын
Eman Emanrus I think it’s about how proud you are of your country. Here in the US a lot of 40 year old white people preach America and treat it as the best country in the world, when America is pretty average (love being here, but there’s a lot of parts that are completely awful about America.) not to mention a lot of genocide commit by America is over looked. In Germany they’re not exactly known for being great people in history, and they don’t hide their history from their people. Because of this, a lot of German people aren’t proud of their country and are afraid of being called nazis. (Not that being open about their history is a bad thing, it’s rather good and I wish more countries were open about their history as well) Edit: I mean USA, but really, Germany is good for showing their horrible history and saying it was horrible. Here in the states, they water down our history and act proud of it. Like what happened with slavery here in the USA was absolutely revolting and the worst things about it are never talked about, so people don’t treat it like a big deal. It WAS a big deal, I don’t want to name a story in specific, but when things like buck breaking existed and it’s never talked about... ew.

A good thing about saudis is that they dont have under aged pregnancies or bastards
@kristyhoward68978 жыл бұрын
ahmad alhmaidat Please define under aged, could you give an age? ie...17 or 18. Because by proxy, if under aged marriage is allowed then there will be under aged pregnancies. Or did you mean unwed, under aged girls? Because certainly the numbers are lower in Saudi Arabia as those girls will be stoned to death along with her unborn children. It's just semantics
@ahmadalhmaidat6208 жыл бұрын
Kristy Howard I meant those that are under 18. Since the fertility rate of underage females in Saudi Arabia is greatly lower from that of the USA. (BTW it is way more possible to find liquor in saudi than underage marriages, underage marriages happen just once every ice age)

So about the tea thing, we Turks drink a LOT of tea. We drink it with and after breakfast sometimes with and after lunch and definitely after dinner, when we are taking a break from work and when someone comes for a visit, you have to have tea. That list might be a bit old and I believe it didn't include Turkey. As of 2016, Turkey consumes 3.16 kg (or 6.96 lb) of tea per capita. The UK is on third place, Ireland being second. @WyseWalker8 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say you would have to visit a country to know information about it. People can know plenty of things about countries without even stepping outside their door. We even just got statistical verification of a aspect about Saudi Arabia. But yes, before you do say the obvious you should take anything you read or learn from the internet with a bit of salt, but that doesn't mean everything or necessarily anything you read on the internet is false.
@medsidimed59928 жыл бұрын
Wyser Wiler Well saudi arabia is the center of alot of hate, because it's considered the islamic leader of the world. But it's not more homophobic than uganda and not many people hate on uganda. It's not worse tham zimbambwe and no one hates on zimbambwe. It actually has functional infastructure , beutiful modern cities anc more.
@WyseWalker8 жыл бұрын
Med Sidimed Ok, but that still doesn't mean anything he has learned about Saudi Arabia is wrong which was the main point of your comment.

I have nothing against homosexuality, it’s just the religion of the country. I asked my mom what she would do if I told her I’m lesbian (which I am not) she said that she would pray for me. I’ve heard about people getting disowned for it so I think that’s an okay answer.

@@zackscotty Crime is pretty rough. SA has a handful of areas that are ranked top in the world for murders. Car hijackings, housebreaking and robberies are a daily event in most cities. The government is more corrupt than developed countries, less corrupt than most of Africa though. We're currently experiencing "loadshedding" - rolling blackouts that last 2-4 hours, several times per day - due to decades-long mismanagement of the state-owned electricity provider. Crazy unemployment (30%+) and income inequality - some of the blame can be lumped on the Apartheid regime, some of the blame is the ineffective goverment (same party been in charge since 1994). Access to internet and running water isn't great outside of cities. I do love my country though. The people that aren't trying to rob you are friendly and helpful. Our diverse fauna and flora are amazing. The weather is pretty great, especially on the coast. We have loads of natural resources, arable land and fishing grounds.

@@yakomo84 Also they have a much lower population than a lot of countries and a fairly low population density-both things that lead to higher crime rates. If one guy goes nuts and attacks someone that drives up the crime rate more than a hundred people doing the same in the united states for example. It's like how here in Canada the territory of the Yukon had a murder rate of more than ten, whereas the province British Columbia had a rate of 1.7, but the Yukon had 4 murders and BC had 87. It's just since the Yukon only has 30 thousand people in it those few really make it spike. Also sorry if that isn't a super relevant stat for wherever you live, it's the only situation where I could remember the stats right now for murder rates in differently populated areas. There's probably similar situations in most countries though.
