Which suit to develop in 3NT (and keep track of those entries!) - with Marla Lawson

When we're playing in No Trump, and we have have multiple suits we might develop, how do we decide between them?
In this 3NT hand, we have to choose between developing our spades, our hearts, or our diamonds, all while keeping in mind we have only one entry back to North's hand! That's a lot to keep track of... luckily we have our wonderful teacher Marla Lawson here to help us through this fun hand.

Wanted to work with Marla only to discover that she doesn't use physical whiteboards with her lessons, which is an absolute must if you're going to teach me. I was forced to tell her she wasn't the right fit, cemented when she indicated she had no clue what the ACBL Intro to Bridge course was.

I think Spiral Raises handle this situation: Marla raises to 2S with 3-card support, then 2N is an artificial game try, with Ogust-like responses: Marla rebidding 3 of a minor shows 3-card support, while rebidding a major shows 4 cards, and bidding a round suit shows a minimum while bidding a pointy suit shows extras.

Does spiral apply after 1H-1S-2S ? I learned it as just after 1m-1M-2M. Also is South not a bit too strong - might North pass a 2S raise ?

Don't take the A Q spade finesse!. A club lead back locks up the hand. Take the A and lose the Q

@@mikecragg2600 None, which is why you might have assumed I meant simply to not have jumped allowing partner a lower bid

​@@archie6945 Hi Archie. An interesting hand. Do you mean that after 1H - 1S, opener should pass? This would be difficult with 16 points and a decent 6 card suit. It would also mean responder would not be able to make another bid. Best wishes. Bridge is a wonderful game. 🙂

I think - 1H - 1S - 2C (Gazilli) - 2D (8+ HCP GF) - 2S (shows 3cd S support) - 4S (fast arrival, no slam interest)
