Luca is my main. I like how he helps others, but it's not helpful when the rest of the players spend their time rescuing others, and end up getting sent back to the manor, leaving you most of the time to decode by yourself.

Yeah, as I play solo a lot, I’ve lost a lot of matches where almost my whole team is either kiting or rescuing and I’m the only one decoding. Luca I believe is better when playing with friends and you’re able to communicate with them. Basically, Luca heavily depends on good teammates (everyone relies on good teammates but I find Luca depends on teammates more than others). I honestly main Luca because he had a really cool design and he’s a decent kiter as he doesn’t have any kiting drawbacks and he even has a mini stun when needed. I guess his drawbacks it fits Luca’s personality as he’s known to be very friendly and overly trusting with others. :D

Oh wow, can't relate! All Lucas in my rank and quick matches get down first. No offense but somehow most Luca player either decode carelessly right next to the hunter and dont kite or dont decode and hide while someone else is kiting and still go down in 5 sec without decoding for the team

strangely enough, i had no idea how to actually kite- no matter how many videos i watched, how many games i’ve practiced, i didn’t catch on ... then i picked up barmaid, then miraculously, my kiting improved tremendously.

same experience but with the mechanic. Didn't know how to kite to save my own life so decided to be at least of use to the team by decoding fast, ended up being chased a billion times every match. I just kept thinking I spawned too near him, it took me a good while to understand I was the top target on their most wanted list lol. Because I got chased so much I just learned to kite well :') I'm glad I did since it's pretty fun. Plus, I keep using my baby bot to heal me up+rescue. Man, it's the best teammate anyone could ask for. Until you don't have it anymore-

But it's true tho. I love the fact that he can see through walls but it's basically the same thing with TME and it's not really useful in containing the hunter. I wish they give more features to his map because right now it is one of the least useful (not necessarily useless) items. Tip !!! As a Gardener/Emma main, I find it really easy rescuing people with Emma's shield when they're tied to a rocket chair. Just go near the rocket chair (make sure the hunter doesn't see you if they're camping). Summon a bubble, and charge in and release your teammate. You can body block, but it doesn't hurt you and instead pops the bubble--which is good because you're not injured & the hunter is on cooldown. Quickly get out of there !!! And boom, you have an extra hit before you get downed.

@@sapphireglove5395 the only character that feeds presence is perfumer. Mech CAN feed and seer CAN feed, but merc won’t, forward won’t, Priestess won’t, etc too few do for not feeding presence to matter. Presence doesn’t matter to dw, bon bon, vio, mad eyes, feaster etc. the only two you shouldn’t feed are wu and sculptor, so cipher rush and maybe don’t even rescue, that strat is way way way more viable than playing first officer. On top of that sculptor does counter FO, the statues at full presence will track his actual body not his fake, and once one hits him his pocket watch ends. She can also at low presence just spam the statues around the chair and his ability is pointless, he can’t get hit by a statue and not take damage, he’ll be revealed and risk a TS. Forward, merc, grave, and even coord are more viable against sculptor than he is. Sorry if he’s your main but he’ll never be full meta. Situational meta? Maybe. Well have to see how the game goes in the future. I main doc for survivor, she’s A tier too, A+ situationally, it just be like that man, 🤷‍♂️ FO ain’t meta or A+

I started playing identity v cause Eli looked hot.. I got grizzly's seer giveaway recommended on my youtube and I got curious. that was more than a year ago. anyway I started playing embalmer last week and he's actually pretty damn good! all the meta hunters right now focus on stuffing saves but if you use a coffin on a teammate you won't have to deal with that anymore! it also makes tunneling you and your teammates way harder because you can basically teleport where you want when chaired/downed

I agree with you on dancer but I think she should have her own category because unlike with the semi-kiters, she's most definately going to be found due her music range but she can also support quite decently too as her music range can support others to kite, decode ,and resue. Not only that, she herself can do all of those things at once. Her blue boxes can be used to bait hunter to hit the rocket chair during rescues, pink/red boxes allows her to decode very fast (perfect calibration of course), and during kiting, she can use her boxes to transition from one place to another by due to the lingering music effect where the hunter will still be slowed down or the survivors will still have their speed boost for 2s even if they leave the music range. She can then put another box down and continue the pattern. Overall, she's a pretty well-rounded character that's well-equiped for certain situations.

As a luca main who just lost her b badge AHEM,I always can’t decode my cipher machine peacefully without kiting and honestly,there’s no excuse if u “die” fast when kiting as a prisoner.It’s essential for u to learn how to kite(all hunters the best)when playing as this character since he only has that electric thingy that helps with kiting. This is such a good video! One thing that might be a good addition is a sidenote on Gardener’s ability. Besides using her bubble to prolong kites and sink hits (including detention hits), she’s a great rescuer. No risk of terror shock with bubble, or you can time bubble for a body block in case you don’t run Tide (or use bubble after taking a hit for your teammate post-rescue). Favorite thing is her harassing potential though. I’m not good enough for it yet but I’ve heard people say they’ll break all the chairs in an area to draw first kite, then max out struggle/sticker to waste more of the hunter’s time. You can also break a chair if you’re absolutely sure your ballooned teammate is being sent to that one and is far enough away. Once they’re ballooned again, break the same chair lol. Hunter may switch targets because you’re being annoying as hell, which wastes time and saves your teammate. Heavily reliant on good kiting skills as a result though (obviously).

In my opinion magician could be a pretty good rescuer too if the hunter is near you you could hide near them and as soon as the hunter puts any survivor on the chair you can use your wands and rescues them. If the hunter doesn’t rlly pay attention then you have like already won the game

Just a personal opinion I'd like to give on the list. I believe that lucky guy and embalmer should have been in the kiter category. This is because they get nothing right at the start of the game to kite. If the hunter finds them they will chase them because of their lack of kiting abilities. Another thing being dancer should not at all be in the kiting tier. Her boxes are such a pain for hunter than anyone with some common sense will never chase a dancer if they are found, at the very least dancer will be chased much less in comparison to the other characters in the kiter category. Great list tho just my personal opinion :D

My pick would definitely be the Enchantress. She's so flexible in many situations and her ability to stun the hunter can help you kite/ rescue ballooned teammates to buy more time for your team. For a beginner her skill gives you the freedom to experiment kiting styles, and the best part is you don't even need experience to use her😂 (Literally it's just one tap)

Painter is a pretty good rescuer tho- he can place a painting and bam- you got a distraction and the guy is out. Honestly though, I think painter is pretty underrated, I wish he had more paintings 💀
