I've been to both parks a couple of times now. Tokyo Disneyland just does the whole Magic Kingdom thing so perfectly - better than the US in my opinion. And with really amazing rides like Hunny Hunt! But then DisneySea is so unique and Journey is one of my favourite rides of all time. There's only one solution - GO TO BOTH!

Hi All We visited both one week after each other. Both visits were on a Tuesday. I took my 13 and 16 year old daughters. Was in middle of January. Our experience was that DisneySea appeared to have longer wait times (like over 90-100 mins). Whereas Disneyland was more like 50-60. Even rain did not dampen the crowds at DisneySea. I reckon if your kids have never been to Disneyland then go there. The Disney experience there is greater in my opinion and my kids agreed. For example we did not even know the main DisneySea characters. The Disneyland day parade is also better as you are up close with the characters versus DisneySea where they are on the water. Also, the rides at DisneySea are scarier so keep that in mind if your kids don’t lake sudden drops like on splash mountain. I loved both but if it was just me I would go DisneySea, but with kids I’d go Disneyland.

You can'y compare Disney Sea to Disneyland. You should compare to Cali Adventrue as they share some same rides.

I disagree, i’m comparing between the rides and experiences you get from each park, so if people could only head to one park, they can know which to go based on what’s being offered.

Funny you bring it up because I always think of Tokyo DisneySea as a "sister" park to California Adventure, right down to sharing one specific ride: Jumpin' Jellyfish (In Paradise Gardens park area in DCA, Mermaid lagoon on TDS). Just wish that TDS would port Ariel's Undersea Adventure...
@fiorellasanoni1458 Жыл бұрын
How long does it take to visit both? can you do it in one day?
@globetrails Жыл бұрын
Hi Fiorella, i think it really depends on what you want to do. If you're only interested in seeing both places without taking any rides, doing any shopping, etc, then you can definitely "walk through" both parks in one day. You would still want to get there early because there will always be lines, some starting as early as 2 hours before the park opens and once they have reached max capacity, you won't be allowed to enter until afternoon when some people leave. I would head to one of the parks and arrive at 7 or 7.30. Go into that park, hang around until around noon then try to enter the other park. Hope this helps!

The tickets for both parks are separate so you can’t use dusneyland’s tickets to enter disneysea and vice versa. I just went to Disneyland Paris and I'm looking for my next Adventure that is most likely to be the Tokyo Parks, your video helps me a lot to understand how things works there, but wanted to ask you if is it possible to communicate in english and to watch the shows in english? English is not my first language but I can speak it and I was lucky that in Paris many people speak it so it went pretty straightforward (and I can also understand a little bit of French) but Japanese is so different so I'm worried my kids can't understand a thing
@globetrails Жыл бұрын
Hi Jorge! I share your pain because i don’t speak Japanese as well and unfortunately, everything Japan’s parks are Japanese only. If you have been to other disneyland parks, then tokyo disneyland actually shares a lot of the same rides with the other parks so you probably already know what’s going on. The only thing is disneysea because it is the only one of its kind in the world. We still had a great time because the rides were still fun and the food inside was great. There were a few shows and musicals that had little text and only music so those were easy to enjoy as well. I wouldn’t avoid going to these parks just because the audio isn’t in english though as 95% of the fun can still be had 😀

@@jramirezdev They can understand simple english and it's no issue when buying food because you can often point to something and say how many you want.
