@anantdabholkar6853 жыл бұрын
The FJ weights 4340 lbs with the automatic and 4079 lbs with the MT. The 4Runner weighs 4750 lbs. No wonder the FJ wins even with 60,000 miles on it. BTW , the FJ with MT is even quicker than the 4Runner and it’s easily apparent just driving them back to back, since I own both. That almost 700 lb difference plus a lower rear end on the MT with full time 4wd is killer. Also at sea level, the FJ MT is good for 7.1 seconds!

The 4Runner is almost 500 lbs more than the FJ. When it was released it was about a second faster than the 4Runner and would run between 7.5 and 8 seconds close to sea level. How did the FJ beat the Tacoma if the Tacoma was fastest? Traction control. Spin the tires even a little and either the brakes come on briefly or the power is cut briefly. Did anyone notice how much trouble they had to stop the Tacoma compared to the two others? Bad weight distribution and maybe the rear drum brakes are a factors?

You don’t buy one of these 3 models to drag race a Hellcat or brag to a Tesla owner about your tech. You buy one of these bc you will go off-roading/camping etc. and you know that you’ll most likely get 300K miles with fewer trips to the mechanic. Doesn’t take a genius to figure that out! No offense just my two cents but screw your Mansi Pansy automatics anybody can drive one of those (to me that's not real driving. 👎 Most younger people don't even know how to drive stick these days perfect security device.😊😁👍 It's really sad that you can't even get a manual transmission in the new Supra (hence the term "sports car") much less a truck these days. Going back to 1999 (first year of the Tundra full size truck) Toyota at least in the States never sold the Tundra with the V8 and a M/T and they never had the option in the V8 4Runner either , either way they should have at least had an option 😡. @@morgandrives It honestly just depends on the power plant. In a 260 hp car like the FJ, dividing power between 4 wheels is only going to hurt you.
