Of all the reviews I’ve seen yours is the only one that showed the action, which is something to me that is important. Thank you. This is why I have a solid distrust for all those other KZbin “influencers” that get paid by the companies of the products they review. I was skeptical about why none of them actually showed the action in their reviews. Most didn’t even talk about it. Thank you again for a thorough and honest review.

Awesome review! Correct me if I'm wrong, but the neck width is relatively the same on both guitars. I own the electric version(Hush-x), but I wasn't sure it was a perfect choice for me, since I'm more used to play classic guitar with a wide neck&fretboard. Yet what I can see from the picture, the neck looks the same on both. So maybe I wasn't wrong when I bought Hush-X, because I couldn't get a wider neck anyways.

Carry-on size limits vary by airline. Most U.S. carriers allow bags up to 22 x 14 x 9 inches, but international limits can differ significantly. That said neither one is an allowable carry on. Airlines are getting very strict.

If I get one it will be to modify. Think first would be moving strap buttons a bit. Wish the steinberger was as thin like this, available in a burst or wood tone, or that the x had a tremolo. There are some Chinese headless guitar tremolos online, guess I'll figure out if it's possible with fit first. String spacing etc.

If you would like the Hush I would suggest waiting for some time. There is a new version coming up which have the same system for the stand as in the Hush X, but you might need to wait at least six months or perhaps even a year. That’s how much I waited for the Hush X once it was first announced.

Hi.Thanks for a very enlightening review. It stands out, especially for dealing with the ergonomics of the guitars. Since you also have a Stratocaster, maybe I could trouble you to give me some advice? I went a bit overboard and bought a Fender Player Stratocaster HSH PF TBS for my 8-year-old son. He's been playing acoustic guitar for a year, and I wanted to inspire him by introducing him to the electric side as well. I chose that model because of its versatility with the double humbucking pickups, "Modern C"-shaped neck profile, 9.5"-radius fingerboard (?), etc, so that he wouldn't be limited in the future... I'm not a practicing guitarist myself, but maybe you understand the similarities/differences in the setup compared to the Hush-X? Well, that kind of backfired, because the Fender is a full-size guitar and weighs in at 3,5 kg. It was of course a bit big and cumbersome for him to handle and not really inspiring at all. The body is a bit too high for him and keeps falling forward when he's sitting down. The strap doesn't really help either, unfortunately. 1. Do you believe that we would gain anything by selling the Fender and purchasing the Hush-X? 2. If you think maybe the balance would be a problem, do you believe it's possible to move the front strap to the small free area of the wooden frame on top of the guitar. Or maybe put some kind of clamp on the metal frame? Would the metal frame hold the weight of the guitar? It doesn't seem to be really locked into the body at the front, where you would like to put the front strap. I studied your sofa comparison and realized that the frame is a lot smaller on the Hush-X. Even though the Hush-X seems to be positioned a bit higher over the lap, compared to the Fender. ? I find that the Fender is well balanced, and doesn't fall over forward, if you are an adult that is. The front strap is positioned centered on the body depth-wise and above the center point height-wise. The back strap seems to be positioned more or less center, center. The balance problem with the Hush-X seems to be that the back strap is positioned below the gravitational point, even though it's center depth-wise. With the front strap positioned on the back, the guitar has no choice but to fall forward. Sorry for rambling.

You bought your 8-year-old son a Strat! That’s awesome! I wouldn’t sell it. Your son will grow soon enough, and there are actually plenty of kids playing these guitars. I don’t know anything about guitar specs but I don’t think you can compare a Fender with a Hush X. Also, maybe your son just doesn't know what he has in his hands. If he would I’m sure he wouldn’t care if it is too big or not ;) I would suggest you show him videos of kids playing electric guitar on Tik Tok, Instagram or KZbin shorts. Those kids are freaking awesome. I’m sure that will get him inspired. Also, you can show him some of Fender’s Fender Signature Sessions videos on KZbin. Now, to answer your questions: 1. No. I got the Hush X only because I live a nomadic lifestyle. If I had a permanent residence and the budget I would get a Fender or another brand guitar. 2. You mean at the base of the guitar? sort of moving up the strap pin that is at the bottom close to the output jack? I think that could solve the problem of the guitar tilting forward, but not of the neck falling towards the floor. I see no issue with the strap button that is behind the guitar, just behind the end of the fretboard 3. No. The manual also suggests not to carry the guitar from the metal frames. They work great to give support for playing, but they are not meant for carrying the guitar 4. Yes, the frame of the Hush X is definitely smaller than the Strat (that’s not a Fender though, it’s a cheap Squire). I had another video with the Hush X on top of it but unfortunately didn’t have space to include it. Make sure you check the summary of dimensions and weight at the end of the video.
@janstenberg575010 ай бұрын
Thanks for your reply. Well, it's a Mexico-made B-stock, so there are more expensive versions out there for sure, but I realize that's a bit much anyway. To me, it feels perfect. :-)) But I believe he'd be happier with the smaller crazy-looking Hush-x for now. Maybe the family will rest easier, not risking being accidentally hit in the face with the shorter neck of the Hush-X. One fear is that he and his brother will assemble, and disassemble it to pieces. :-)
@kenm669510 ай бұрын
Fender makes a 3/4 size mini Squier Stratocaster. Even that fretboard would be something an 8YO would grow into. Would consider some thinner 8-38's allowing better playability for someone that age.
@jasonkindo939 ай бұрын
Thanks for the video. That’s a deal breaker for the electric So you are stuck on a single Tuning. I like to have a tuning range from e standard to C Drop So it’s the acoustic version I’ll get then.
@MarcoPinoGuitar8 ай бұрын
I was able to fix the tuning issue after changing the string. So no problem to use other tunings now. But not sure how that would affect the action of the strings. There is no way to change the height od the entire bridge as in a regular electric.

I’m not sure what you mean. The Hush X works like any standard electric guitar, but it’s more silent when unplugged than a regular electric guitar because the small body. The hush I has a pickup under the bridge which gives it an acoustic sound and the factory strings are acoustic metal strings.
