@@gdmclean it's absolutely the a90j we have like 10 comparisons showing it the a90j had the best above blacks performance they even got rid of chrominance overshoot so no more macro blocking its the only oled to get rid of it cleanest above blacks no sometimes the w90j does overbrighten some above blacks scenes but that's it only occasionally since it comes out of black a bit to fast but everything wise is perfect the actually black is jet black sone of the deepest blacks I've seen even on an oled must be the front coating that gloss reslly allows the black to show but yeah its brighter then the other tvs it has more depth then any tv I've seen rven Vincent from HDTV test said that depth unlike any other tv he's seen and the best processor out of all his years of doing tvs which I agree its insane I've never seen 4k actually look new its like more detail then I've seen every movie I watch now has a bit more detail then I'm used to which is awesome the a80j is also great with shadow detail it does the same thing the a90j its legit do similar with the a90j being slightly brighter the other thing the a90j does best is during bright highlights it can hold its saturation better then any other oled it is outstanding and the most impactful hdr I've ever witnessed keep in mind I've owned the a9g and ended up choosing the c9 over it this yeer I got the c1 first had it for a few weeks went and got the a90j because I felt like I had to see what everyone was talking about and never looked back its outstanding

Guys I need your help. I still have the Sony A9F master series OLED TV (2018 model) and I was wondering should I get the G1 or stick with that TV? The only reason I’m asking this is because currently the 65 inch of the A9F is at $3,799 compared to the G1 which is $1k less. Is that Sony TV super special to still be at that price? Should I switch to the G1? Btw I use it mainly for gaming. Thanks

@@superjasim the a9f is an outstanding oled still my second favorite behind the a90j the color on the a9f is insanely good and the processing is still very good the g1 would be a good choice for gaming but if that isn't something you are reslly doing as much I would stick with the a9f for content you would upgrade and probanaly realize it wasn't much of a difference as you expected now if you wanted to upgrade since you have a Sony I would do the a90j as the processing is a nicr step up over the rest of the competition this year but even then if you aren't to worried about gaming features I would still say just enjoy your a9f as it's a beautiful tv seriously still one of my favorite tvd for watching movies now if you wanted the best deal and still get that Sony processing you are uses to I would do the a80j as it's almost identical to the a90j just doesn't have the heatsink and some small bright highlights won't be as bright but the a80j is still brighter then all past Sony oled tvs and it can rven get slightly brighter then the c1/g1 on smaller highlights that processor man the xr is nuts it makes 4k better somehow never seen anything like it

Got a 65 inch LG C1 last weekend on sale at Best Buy. Certified open box, never taken out of the packaging, for 1520 before tax. Really wanted an A80J, but couldn’t say no to the price on the LG. I’ll likely get a Sony next time I upgrade, but for now I’m happy with my C1. It’s my first OLED, and I couldn’t even tell you how many hours I spent researching them trying to find the right one. Hundreds of hours, for sure. I was worried, borderline obsessive, about finding the right tv for my needs and my budget, and definitely worried I’d shell out a ton of money and end up unhappy with my purchase. This channel was by far the most informative and helpful I found for someone new to the world of high end TV’s, which was very overwhelming for me at first. You definitely helped me learn a lot, and helped make the best decision I could. One that I’m happy with btw, I love my new tv. So, long story short, I appreciate you and the videos you make. Thank you!

Anyone who sees this in time and has a a90J within the return period and purchased at regular price, well both the 55" and 65" are on sale and can get the discount credit today and during the sale. I got my TV yesterday for regular price and noticed it went on sale today. I texted my Magnolia guy and he credited my card the difference without even having to make another trip back out to the store and even sent a picture of the invoice.

Now I want the return it for the 77 A80j or the C1 77 but I’m waiting for a a price drop. The Sony is nice but I’m only 99% satisfied because of the lack of brightness and price. I am really interested to see how much the 83" C1 is reduced by black Friday and if it will have the EVO panel by then (or right at launch since it is significantly more money than the 77". There has been a lot of talk about no longer making non-evo panels, so it is just a matter of time for the C1 to get them this year. I am planning on making a trip to VE later this summer to look at all the TVs in one room to see and compare them. I am going to be placing it in a dark room.

That's right, accidental damage coverage. I purchased the 65" A90J, and Geek Squad contract, now canceled after I discovered (under the Sony Bonus App) the Sony extended warranty offering with ADH.

@@gorillapancake its doesn matter organic it or not. Current technology doesnt allow to create and alocate millions of IDENTICAL diods. I don’t like how a lot of folks are downplaying LGs bad motion and no DTS pass through. That’s a huge deal breaker and that’s why I’m going with the SONY A90J and the LG 48 for gaming on PC. They harp more about the gaming over the audio pass through and movie experience.

@@BTheInstaller Gotcha. Is all about needs. I just feel it should be mentioned more often. A lot of my foreign films are in DTS-X. I watch nothing but action films. They usually have a Dolby 96K Upsampling or DTS master HD track. I can plug it straight to an AV but still. So when I saw the Villainous on a Vizio and LG OLED I couldn’t stand it. The SONY was smooth on the A8H. I like where we at with displays. So many great options.

Please do a review of the Samsung QN900A. Its been out for a month and haven't seen any reviewers discussing this set. I was planning on getting a big TV and its coming down to the Sony A90j or the Samsung QN900A. I've owned and LG OLED before and had serious burn in issues and reluctant to pull the trigger on another OLED due to those issues but I think I had an earlier version of the LG OLED. Please inform me on the the new tech on the OLEDS that reduce the issue of burn in and should I go with the Sony master series set. Thanks !

Just wanted to say this channel has been so helpful. Thank you very much. Just got a 77inch LG CX from Selfridges today (they had it at 10% off for the weekend). A bargain IMO. I was debating between a 77” CX or a 75” QE950TS 8K Samsung. This channel helped me decide. Would you please be able to test if Apple 4K TVs’ new calibration mode improves picture quality or is it just a gimmick? Best wishes

Right now, we have 3 options based on Best Buy listing, the CX for $1449, the C1 for $1499, and the Sony A9S for $1799, and Samsung will soon release the 50 inch QN90A for $1600. Which one would you recommend? And you think Sony might do an A80J or A90J 48 inch TV’s in the future? Thanks in advance for your help!

I have the 65cx in the living room, with a ps5, and love it. Currently I am planning on making the back bedroom into my complete gaming room, so looking to buy an oled again. Was going to get another cx, as the c1 has complete gaming features, but not enough for the price. However, the lg c1 is currently on sale till October 10. With the $700 price reduction, the c1 is cheaper than cx in 65". So that's a drop mic moment, and heading to Best Buy to purchase 65" C1. No brainer

You can also get the cooler 77" GX right now for $3500 and that includes wall mount, so if you're looking at getting a 77" CX and wall mounting it, just get the 77" GX as it's insanely thin on the wall and has far field voice control. Actually, now that I think of it, the 77" GX is the best size/quality/price right now. IMO.

My question is do you think they’ll be a sell around the 4th of July time on the C1 65 like a price drop of what the current LG CXs are currently going for about $2000?

@@BTheInstaller There are two reason, the first one is cost, the C1 77 inch is as good as G1. The second is, I might be able to go for 83 C1. Because as you said they are nearly as good as each other and TV tech is ever changing, why would I spend that extra bit. Again, thank you for the public service you doing here. This is by far the best review out there. I would be keen to see a comparison between C1 & G1 and the Sony one. One question which I have not been able to get answered. I had bought a samsung q90t but it couldn't handle the motion of watching football there was a white trail on the ball and it would slow down and speed back up watching sports and also playing xbox fifa it had those same issues. I had the tv calibrated so I wasn't happy at all as I had a bright room so I took it back to best buy. I ended up replacing it with the LG CX which I'm absolutely delighted with, its a bit dark watching through the day on certain movies but over all I love it for watching football (soccer) and also xbox its so smooth for watching films.
