At least in most parts of the U.S. Maybe in states that have alot of people, and certain areas where there are big cities. in regards to the solar eclipse... its a cosmic coinkidink that the Sun is 400x farther from the Earth than the Moon... but the Moon is also 400x smaller than the Sun, and since the Moon has been getting closer and closer for millenia its only been in the last million years or so that this has been a noticeable thing, and eventually it will stop happening (granted it will still be partial eclipses til the time when the Sun swallows up the Earth at the end of its life).
