hi, i was playing Stronghold 1 about 10-15 years ago, now im playing this mostly for fun.. i love strategy games, my favorite game is DOTA and warcraft but stronghold 1 is good too

Spear is most efficient when you consider gold earned over time because the worker walks damn fast and produces it faster.

Especially difficult missions like the 80th where you do not have any resources, I always go with this strategy to infinitely scale economy depending only on market bought products

For Crossbow need to take wood 3 times, if the distance between workshop and stock pile is not much, it take long time for moving and maybe yeah then its not much useful but if you put it close to stock pile, then i think Crossbow is best

To get an actual accurate reading you must add in the time factor and decide which is better by the gold/second earned. Maybe the game is rounded up economy wise so it doesn`t matter and all wood products end up being the same. Can try the same 3 items like in the video, just with an added timer. Then it`s simple math to check the gold/second earned.

you are right, the most important thing is the time worker moving between stockpile and workshop and armoury... for crossbow the worker 3 times moving between stockpile and workshop, so if the distance between them is low, then crossbow is best but if we check it with higher distance, then other workshops might be better.. but in total i think crossbow is best for economy, sorry if i didnt put timer in the video

Also, i recommend you use stronghold OSTs for your video's, it's my opinion ofc, you make the choice
