Naval Outlying Field is a military airport located two miles southeast of Coupeville, WA. The airport is owned and operated by the United States Navy.
OLF supports day & night Field Carrier Landing Practice operations by the US Navy's EA-18G Growler. OLF is seen as an ideal airfield for carrier training due to its remote location & low lighting, allowing pilots & crew to have a similar experience to landing aboard an aircraft carrier.
A number of low flying aircraft can be seen flying around Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Oak Harbor and Coupeville, Washington for Field Carrier Landing Practices. This is something potential buyers should take into consideration before purchasing a home.
