For some reason Jagex did their classic bamboozle and switched the names of the weapons at the very last second, here are the new names - Ignited staff (old) - Purging staff (new) Firelight (old) - Emberlight (new) Burning Claws (old) - Bone claws (new)

not only is the bowfa standalone simply better, it has the bonus of +15% damage and +30% accuracy from crystal armor set…. so no it’s not even close to a CG skip

I’m actually looking forward to the prayer thing, in rs3 there’s some prayer from SOTE that would basically double your xp training fishing, wc, etc but take all the resources

seems a bit too broken given that all the best skilling xp methods end up dropping the resources they gather anyway. youd just get x2 xp for free no downside for something like that to exist on osrs it would have to be a consumable thats expanded after every use, like some of the forestry items. And it would only be like a 10-20% xp boost not x2.

@@MyNameIsSalo It's a 30s spell that gives +50% xp, and also costs a lot of runes. you can boost it further using the seren prayer. But yeah, it might be too strong for osrs.

@@eireyouok101 when wgs released on RS2 in 2008, we only knew the quest was related to the staff of armadyl and the dragonkin. Nothing about rewards from the quest, or that tormented demons were being released. I do like how rs3 is now planning to not tell us everything about the new bosses and their rewards, except where they want feedback (spec attack, passives). some mystery!

Most importantly the spec will be slightly more accurate and little higher consistent defence reduction. Not sure though how it will be compared to bgs which relies on the actual hit which is purely rng

You don’t get any. It’s a new item to grind out to craft the new weapons. Only the sword can be upgraded immediately with 30 shards.

From the end of May. "To clarify the instructions in the blog, Firelight is made by combining a fully-charged Arclight (30 Ancient Shards) and a Tormented Synapse together. This will change Arclight into Firelight."

Why would they add that cap to duke sucellus? not like it has an amazing drop table or its going to be game breakingly good....
