condolences on the loss of Prince. I wish i had all those years to forget he is gone! also, the phone bit as a millennial i can confirm its satisfying to chomp on a phone and that plastic casing sound it makes in the movie is spot on. My favourite joke in this is now lost in translation. its where ed is taking photos of Shaun and Mary the zombie, and after she falls it cuts to them stunned, not sure what to do, then ed starts rolling the camera to the next frame to take another photo before Shaun bats it away. I would think most people born after 2011 wouldn't have ever heard that noise or even used a disposable camera. Loved your reaction!

Fun facts: Shaun (Simon Pegg) and the woman who played Yvonne (Jessica Hynes), wrote a show years before this movie, called ‘Spaced’. Also, it had the same director, Edgar Wright, and Ed (Nick Frost) and Pete (Peter Serafinowicz) also starred in the show. Simon Pegg came up with the idea for the movie after there was an episode of ‘Spaced’ where his character had been playing ‘Resident Evil 2’ all night and dreamed that he was living in a zombie apocalypse.

this movie needs soooo many rewatches to get every little detail. the first morning of the zombie apocalypse is a exact repeat from the morning before. before everything started you can notice little things like the guy fainting or the guy eating the pigeons, ARMY trucks passing, hints in the news. the running gag about the "you got red" that starts with ink and ends up with blood. the flowers he bought for his mom ended up in her hands anyway. the trampoline jump to save his man was a homage to "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" almost everyone around Shawn on the first day ends up as a zombie. and many more things. Fun Fact: when Shawn slips in the store that first ZA morning, the slip was improvised by Pegg. it looked so funny that Wright kept it and added the sound in post production.

The other two are "Hot Fuzz" (2007) and "The World's End" (2013), all directed by Edgar Wright. I'm glad to see you've decided to not cling too tightly to your original mission of watching every film listed on the IMDB's "Top 250." There simply aren't enough fun comedies of this nature on that list. 🧟♂ Another funny trilogy like this, that involves all the same actors playing different roles is "Waiting For Guffman" (1996), "Best In Show" (2000) and "A Mighty Wind" (2003). You might actually be familiar with some of the actors in those, as they're all either American or Canadian. You're always a blast to watch.

Could have been terrible, but turned out to be surprisingly fun. * Dead Alive - An early move from Peter Jackson (Lord of the Rings). Utterly silly and over the top, and exceedingly gory in a variety of silly ways. * Night of the Living Dead (remake) - Directed by George Romero's f/x guy, Tom Savini, it's a really good update of the original zombie movie. * Fido - One of the most creative zombie movies out there, with a great performance from comedian Billy Connolly * Zombieland - A great road trip/odd couple/romcom/zombie movie. So happy you enjoyed this! This is a hilarious film and a wonderful homage to George A Romero's Zombie films. Some more trivia: When asked by an interviewer why they chose to have slow moving zombies instead of running zombies, Simon Pegg simply replied, "Because death is not an energy drink." Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright considered a sequel that would replace zombies with another monster, but decided against it, as they were pleased with this movie as a stand-alone product, and thought too many characters died to continue the story. The proposed title was "From Dusk till Shaun". Many of the zombie extras are fans of Spaced (1999), which also starred Simon Pegg and Nick Frost and was also directed by Edgar Wright. They were recruited through the Spaced Out fan website. For more Zombie movies I also suggest the Night of the Living Dead remake from 1990, Dawn of the Dead from 1978 and Day of the Dead from 1985.

Great reaction! I discovered you at the "Poppie Awards" at Popcorn in bed. Your two personality clip was funny as hell. You're very creative. Good job! By the way "Love over gold" is one of the records I would take to an island to live for the rest of my life, if I had to.

I love the way one of them turns into a zombie ... and their relationship doesn't change.

Every time I get any kind of cut or gash, naturally I clean it with tap water, or run under the tap. And all I think of, every time without fail, is "I'm quite alright, Barbara. I ran it under a cold tap."

Your dedication and the work you put in are very impressive, and I enjoy your reactions a lot. Keep it up!

Check out the British gem named Spaced. That’s the first work of these guys (Pegg, Frost, Wright). You’ll see many familiar faces there after watching this movie.))

Sultans of Swing, Roller Girl, and the entire Brothers in Arms album are my Dire Straits favorites. Thanks for this reaction!

4:17 "No, sir, we just gave away the last table." 🤷♂Take her to another pub, Shaun. It's _London._ It's a big _city._ Take Liz to another pub.

Yeah, but Fulci’s does _all_ the fish. Other places might do some of the fish, and perhaps even most of the fish; but do those other places do _all_ the fish?

Did anyone else besides me come over to see her channel after seeing her and 2 on the Poppies? Nothing like adding another channel to the subscriptions page. Love the awards you did at the end. I have to see more now.

Awesome commentary. Whims even goes to the extent of reviewing the vinyl the boys tossed at the z-words. Awesome.

I think you would love "Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse." It takes itself about as seriously as this one, and it's also hilarious.

Great reaction 👍. You just went waay up in my estimations for that Dire Straits rant, Private Investigations is my favourite too it's the GOAT. Ps. The newscaster is a real UK newscaster, I howl with laughter watching someone so straight laced in a film like this 😂.

Top work as always. I too will defend Dire Straits and Prince's Batman soundtrack (although the Elfman score for that film is even better). Looking forward to you getting to that one eventually

Both Zombieland movies are great. Another funny zombie movie is Scouts guide to the zombie apocalypse. Or from Europe for example Cockneys vs Zombies, Dead snow or Doghouse. Zombie comedies are great 😀

My all time favourite movie, I've seen this so much I could probably quote the whole movie Such perfect writing for jokes that come full circle and ones you only pick up on after a few rewatches, 20 year old movie but it never gets old

Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits did the soundtrack to "Local Hero" (1983). I think you would enjoy it!

One of his best movies he wrote an entire movie around song choices. He also syncs up the action on screen with the sounds/music. You saw that a little bit with the Don't Stop Me Now bar scene.

I love that the whole backstory of what caused the zombie outbreak is played on the TVs in the background at Shaun's work but everyone in the show ignores it. I especially like the reporter saying the army was called in and truck roll by and then a few seconds later they roll by the shop showing they are at ground zero.
