I live in Australia where Galahs are wild in my area, they are ultra sweet, gentle birds. It's their nature. ❤

Hey Jamie !! Love your vids, Recently i bought a sunconure who was hand tamed and healthy ( as the people said) so i asked my parents to help me go take him to the vet for a health checkup, They didnt think that it was needed to... Later my conure just started acting really weird he wasnt flying well, he didnt want to free fly (hes usually very enthusiastic) My parents werent home at the time so i just started to syringe feed him a bit of water (as he was recently weaned he knew that it was food) He drank the water, but after a while i just kept staying near his aviary, after a while i went to go get my lunch, When i came back he had fallen to the bottom of his cage and had trouble breathing, i had called a vet before but he thought it was some sort of intestinal issue or something, Soon we rushed him to the vet. He started vomiting some sort of fluid and immediately passed away, I am really confused with what happened, i would really love your advice Thank you ❤

The only way to know is to have a necropsy done. Sorry for your loss. 😢

It's amazing how in tune to our body language our birbs are. Question for Jamie or Dave: 42, F, Umbrella - she has never flown, not one time in her life. Is it possible to teach her to fly?
@BirdTricks2 ай бұрын
It's possible, but I would first ask an avian vet to check for arthritis or any medical reason for why she hasn't flown yet.

@@BirdTricks We have a vet trip coming up for her annual so I'll talk to the vet then. Thank you.

How often are we supposed to feed them? 40grams veggies etc for the whole day or per meal?

Did Whimsy have covid?
@Mcslap132 ай бұрын
I think they mean they got the bird during covid when most people were home and had days if not weeks/months of time with them and then many people went back to work. I heard a lot of birds had issues going from "my person is home all the time!...wait why are you gone for hours every day now"

i heard there was a similar thing with dogs

I was told that they cannot get covid-19, but they can have it from a human touch on their feathers, other corona viruses for sure the can get, but my veteran said they can't get covid-19, maybe he's wrong but I don't think so, idk perhaps they could be a host and never get sick, I just don't think so not covid-19, absolutely other corona viruses, just my thouts😮

Covid animals are animals who do not get enough socialization because they were born during quarantine. It has nothing to do with the virus, just the resulting isolation.
@robertharris4309Ай бұрын
I think what they meant by the video was that the bird was obtained during the Covid lockdown, and it had social problems because of it. Not that the bird actually got sick with Covid-19.
