Yeah it’s completely fucked, no real world understanding. Btw imagine if the greens has any actual politically standing except for being complete pests, imagine how they would behave for their “principals”
@InsertRandomName20012 күн бұрын
It’s not that both parties are corrupt, or in on some grand scheme to keep regular people down. It’s more so that both parties are just made up of regular people, and people on average are out to help themselves first ( and rightly so ). Given this objective reality, it is natural to come to the conclusion that both parties are just as bad as each other, just in different ways. Labour is fixated on inclusivity, acceptance, looking virtuous, shaming white people, etc, while blaming liberals for everything. Liberals are fixated on immigration, crime, “woke” people, and blaming labour for everything. Then they get together at the expense of the taxpayer to stand in a room and scream at other, filling the air with baseless recriminations towards each other over issue neither side combined could fix. Likely not some grand conspiracy behind it all. Just people’s observations about how the actions of politicians on both sides are perceived

As an Australian, with an interest in British politics of the past, I’m slowly discovering that Australian Labor looked at British Labour and said ‘let’s not do that’. While Labor is undoubtedly your best option between the two, those governments have been as bad as they’ve been good. I honestly think the Hawke-Keating Labor Government of Australia was the best government of the 20th century mainly because of the results they achieved by turning a middle grade, backward economic colonial outpost into a thriving competitive economy poised perfectly within a growing Asian mega market, made the unions and business work together and using the capital gained to create reliable social programs that still remain as some of the most important aspects of our society today.

As a Policy Officer of the government, we actually get training that warns us about grabbing policies from other countries and transplanting them due to the lack of context. The example given is the UK Blair government doing exactly that. It took a lot of reworking to make the policies work.

Max Chandler-Mather: "Serious allegations against the banks", yes, the Libs did nothing in their royal commission. and Labor wasn't in power. MCM: "Serious allegations around systematic sexual abuse", yes, that your party helped cover up. MCM: "Serious allegations against institutions in this country", yes, that are nigh impossible to tackle, but Labor are bloody well trying, bit by it, while you side with them instead. MCM: "Why are Labor overriding the rule of law?", they aren't, they're removing corruption, are you seriously arguing illegal activity is upholding the law. "Why don't they take that organization through a legitimate process", they are, that's what the anti-corruption commission is. Moron. Considering the crisis that happened last time a tax on minerals was proposed, federally losing their spine and then being forced to watch for 12 years, their work burn to the ground Did you not hear the part about a laptop being formatted being made out to be a state wide political conspiracy!? *Does that suggest an environment that trusts and supports?* When you're forbidden from operating a bloody laptop to a basic secure standard, how an earth do you think an exponentially more difficult, dangerous issue would be remotely possible?
