Like Jordan said, the SMH has literally reported on Coalition land clearing and other environmental failures, transport and infrastructure shortcomings and more, and yet when it comes to direct corruption evidence against Gladys and time for scrutiny from the press, that past information is all but selectively forgotten and puff pieces are put out to humanise her, even ignoring the current blatant corruption allegations. And this is how Jordan is saying an agenda is curated, by on paper seeming like you’re impartial because you can go ‘no actually we said this bad thing about the libs one time so that means we’re not biased towards them’ when really that means shit compared to every other way in which they’ve unseemingly supported them under everyone’s noses.

Great vid, but I just want to add a point that might be assumed but needs to be clarified in my opinion: The headline of the article itself is an admission of guilt, purely in the language it uses. By this, I mean the following: If you watch friendlyjordies for any length of time (as these journos should have done but obviously didn't do) the main point of his videos are obvious: highlight problems in Australia's media, politics and culture, often using comedy as a chaser. Things like corruption, greed, bias - basically everything explored in this video. With this in mind, calling friendlyjordies a problem to be fixed is the same as the Coalition and 9/Fairfax saying "we are corrupt, greedy and biased, and we want to continue being that way without repercussions or consequences. Jordies is standing in our way, how do we get rid of him?" - the result of this being trying to solve the 'problem' that is some of the only hard-hitting and rigorous journalism in the country. It's disgusting. The MSM is not real journalism, it's a machine for manufacturing consent and controlling a nation, and the existence of this article alone is a demonstration of that.
@tomiantenna72793 жыл бұрын
I swear to god, I was 40 mins into the segment before realizing they weren't in fact asking how to solve problems the Jordie way, but actually asking how to solve the problem of Jordie. Jesus fuck, "they cluck their necks and stroke their beards and ask, what's to be done about this Homer Simpson?"
@handsdowntoo71503 жыл бұрын
@@tomiantenna7279 I recognised the reference to The Sound of Music, so I understood the title meant Jordies was the "problem". But it only makes the reference even more baffling, because the women who sing the song (How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria) in the movie are nuns who don't know what to do with Maria because she's airheaded, wild, annoying, and essentially....not a "proper"" nun like them. Maybe the journos didn't look into the reference THAT deeply, but if they did, does that mean they consider themselves the good, righteous, godly nuns in the analogy? Its hilarious.

I know I'm super late to this, but the unfortunate thing is that the corruption is basically a badge of honor in american politics. Everyone knows that most of the politicians are corrupt, probably around this level if they think they can get away with it. The corruption is so obvious that most people, even a good chunk of those that vote, already know about it. Another issue is that american politics is so crazy I swear each party could form their own religion around them if they wanted to.

Hey mate, love your stuff and have been following you for a while. I think some of my family and friends would really benefit from your material, problem is I don't know where to start them off, allot of your stuff assumes prior knowledge of previous videos or gets the message across in such a way as to turn off someone who hasn't quite gotten the bigger picture yet. I'm sure I'm not the only person struggling with this issue and was wondering if it might be worth the effort of putting together a "Welcome to friendlyjordies" playlist on your KZbin channel, something that starts people off slow with simple easy to understand concepts and builds the narrative of media and liberal corruption for the new viewer, fence sitter or even a liberal voter. I think a playlist like this could be an amazingly powerful tool to get your message across to a wider audience. It would allow your viewers to refer someone to your content with something as simple as a KZbin link. As it currently stands I hesitate to share your content with allot of olde friends or family even the Labour supporters, without me being there to watch along side for fear of them writing you off, from a silly or obviously partisan comment, before they have the chance to get your humour or understand why your partisan nature is seen by you and your followers as badge of honour. You often end your videos with a call to arms, a rallying cry to share the information with family and friends and help change the vote. I think a playlist like this could make it a thousand times easier for that to happen and would really mobilise the 471k strong army in a way that previously hasn't been possible by taking away the need to "hand hold" throughout the introduction to your content
