Add the fish and fruit/veggies from your inventory to the fridge and you should be able to use them to cook. Also, every once in a while click on your fridge to add ice, and make sure the stove you have is functional off the grid.

Yes please return with this ! Just a little warning though…. I watched James Turner when he did this challenge and it drove him nuts! Took a couple of months to get through but finally made it. He gave his Sim a job, and every time his Sim got promoted, he spun a wheel . Whatever the wheel landed on (lot traits) he took that lot trait off. I though he would pull his hair out by the end of the challenge. It was funny to watch. Love your version of it being on an island instead. I definitely want to see more of this!

Excellent start! If u add solar panels your phone will work and you can order groceries and food. Cover your plants with a floating roof so they’re always in season. And as others have suggested, get her a job or set another kind of tangible goals (every 5 or 10k she earns, for example, or mastering a skill) and each time she reaches it you can remove one of the lot traits.

I think eating raw fruit and veg in the game makes your bladder level decrease far faster than normal. The every lot challenge is brutal in every way - though at least you didn't get too many cats, dogs and ghosts.

I'm doing this challenge too. Finish aspiration, remove a trait. Forced me to use features I'd ignored, quite educational. Live off fish, go for the off the grid menu on the stove, that's the easiest. Worst was the oven catching fire so often and grody making my sim miserable. Gets easier once you can start removing traits. Upgrading your items makes them break less, even with the gremlins trait.

I did this with my latest Legacy Challenge to add a bit more difficulty in. I gave myself the rule that any time an heir or spouse completed their aspiration I could either remove a lot challenge or add a new lot trait. The lot challenge that was most annoying for me (and had to go first) was grody. Don’t know if it’s one of my mods affecting it or if it’s normal, but my Sims felt nauseated and then had to throw up EVERY time they ate anything, and most of the time when they went to the loo or had a shower. They were constantly uncomfortable. It was so tough.

I did the same thing with my most recent legacy. I alternated one or two challenges per generation to be removed. I chose a goal that was in some way contradictory (usually not always) to the challenge. For instance to release grody they had to reach the top of the food critic career, which requires a lot of cooking and gourmet cooking skills. I'm using those rules for my eXtreme 100 BC LP.

i love all the lot challenges (other than maybe off the grid) because it brings back some of the chaos that the older sims games used to have lol. and also it gives your sims a lot more to do and makes managing your time more crucial with how u deal with the challenges! i really love anything that adds a new layer to gameplay which is why i never really cared for things like new cas, bb, new jobs, high school/university, or worlds... anything that actually enhances the gameplay experience is a plus in my book! probably why i love making my sims occult as well because it just adds another layer! i dont really care for playing as an occult from like an rp perspective lol but just the fact that it adds more depth to a character is great imo! and you can also make them famous at the same time as being occult so its like even more depth! lol

I think that huge pottery-looking grill is more susceptible to fire than almost any grill I ever used lol, I went through at least 4 in just a couple hours of playing, one sim even made it a point to go directly to that grill first thing after moving in and die from catching fire.

here i thought james turner started this every lot challenge- regardless, i tried playing it his way (job promotions lets you remove a lot challenge), and it was surprisingly easy. the simple living and off-the-grid ones are the most difficult. the rest are just inconveniences.

You can just order groceries through the fridge with off the grid enablled. Which makes simple living super, well simple, if you have money. And if you have the gnomes lot trait on, everything that breaks will be restored the next night you are asleep. At least she didnt actually get BIT by the spider like my sim did. But even that was pretty simple to fix becuase if you max out the 5 skill selvodorado culture skill, you can buy bone dust for 5 dollars... I bought ten and then while your sim is still dying, have a local make the antidote for every bone dust you have and your all set. $5 for a death cure is well worth a trip there.

James Turner did do this, you are absolutly right, i havent watched tough, i stopped watching him a while back, not a fan of speed play, Especialy as I tend to watch these before bed, so speed plays are not ideal. BTW if you step outside the lot, maybe by the fishing post, you can use the phone and order a grocery delivery . Would love to see more of this play.

It wasn't the grill. when a sim sees a fire she/he gets the "fear of fire" trait. this trait increases the chance of fire. to remove the trait the sim must put out a fire. I like destroyed and replaced 7 stoves before I figured out that this trait was the cause of the fires.

Two to three earth quake at once is pretty normal irl. First is the earthquake and they are then followed by one or more aftershocks. Like a role hitting the edge of a pool and reversing.

UI cheats is the mod to cheat your needs, but if you put testingcheats true in the cheat bar which is Shift, Control, c then you can click on the mailbox and click to make all the household happy (which means all needs full) or shift click on a sim and choose make happy. Hope this helps. A good site to learn about the game is Carl’s Sims guide
