WhinyBrit: “I like to start with blank slates” haha, I am the exact opposite. Drives me crazy adults out of CAS (eapecially elders) start at zero skills. Unless you were raised in game from at least toddler, I always cheat a few basic life skills because, IDK, just makes sense to me. But I also play longer on going legacies, so eventually I get to all born in game sims anyway who naturally develop skills as they grow.

Same, especially when my sim is marrying a random sim with no skills. Like why would my accomplished sim who has like level 8 in all her skills marry someone who has level 1 cooking and charisma? I’ll cheat that sim’s skills, get them a job, and then cheat to give them some promotions

Once I reach level 2 in programming, whenever I have to program I hack something or make something. I never use "practice programming" unless I need satisfaction points. And I usually get to level 2 from reading a book.

I think the Salvadoradan (spelling? ) skill comes from some food they eat. I'm playing the Big Brother challenge, and at least 3 of my sims have it, and they were straight out of CAS
