I told you, should have used a Stonfo. :D I fished a club match once and none of the big fish were playing so I ended up with my 6m Maver Alborella whip. I rigged up a small crystal waggler with just some no. 6 shot strung out and caught lots of bleak (alborella) on the drop. You can't get much simpler and I won the match, but only because the club favourite had injured his leg and couldn't fish at all. 🤣😂🤣

@@MarkWintleFishing It would be good to see you fishing a long whip in fairly shallow water and show the viewers how you control the long line from pole tip to float.

The challenge, as you allude to, is that a lot of line from float to whip tip is asking for trouble in any amount of wind, and at a certain point other methods, short-lining with a pole, or a little waggler on rod and line, can prove more effective.

@@MarkWintleFishing Why not use a Proper whip waggler and sink the line--that combats the wind. --fishing a top and bottom float whip float in the wind is asking for trouble.

a much underused method on the rivers nowadays with the obsession of long pole short line fishing....a good friend and team mate called chavy often fishes it to great effect...
