I don't understand.. are you hitting each other? And if so, how can you withstand the pain? I have seen on the web a whip used as self-defense weapon and it causes insane pain even while being about 60cm long.

You can see everything in the movies. You can fight - it's not a photo montage;) Imagine the situation: it's warm, we're hot, we move quickly, there is adrenaline, there is a fight ... the pain isn't as noticeable as standing still in low temperature, doing nothing.

I thought they were literal weapons and if you had it you could have overcome people who are stronger than you in combat But if you can withstand so many hits, probably it's not that good? I don't know.. In short, my question is: Can a person with bare hands defeat one that has a whip?

@@TheHeldex The whip can be used as a weapon. The same goes for the rattan stick - the warrior is able to take a lot of hits and still fight. And such an ordinary person, after a few hits with a rattan stick, may curl up in pain. The whip is mainly used as a shock weapon. It is very dangerous when hit in the face, in the eyes. The problem is its difficulty in handling self-defense and its size as a self-defense weapon. To sum up: the whip is a very dangerous weapon, especially for the face and eyes, so when fighting in sport, we must wear fencing masks.
