Through your videos, I have gained a deeper understanding of karate, its philosophy, and its history. Your work has inspired me to research different styles, understand their principles, and learn how they differ from each other. You've helped me realize why karate may not work in some scenarios and guided me in balancing sports competition karate with traditional Okinawan combat karate, making it more effective. You've truly enriched my karate vocabulary and knowledge. Thank you! i hope sensei on my next school vacation you can teach me personally more about karate i hope you can give me a karate seishin gi to improve my karate performance because good dogi give more appealing kata performance and make a karate experience better i hope we will have time to speak

Their hallway approach was a much better idea than Jeff and Jesse. They're funneled in a hallway so you're tackling 1 or 2 guys instead of 4, it only failed because they stopped short. Natan also had a longer reach weapon, which kept them at a distance, and should've been very effective in head shots.
@derdox67202 ай бұрын
@@JZStudiosonline meh. when you are ambushing someone from somewhere you can't see from, then you put yourself at a disadvantage from the start, as you saw in their example. ranton was hiding well, but behind a closed door, so he wasn't just hidden from them, they were also hidden from him and had gotten out a second earlier he would have been right in between 4 attackers with knives, while jesse wasn't as well hidden, but could actually ambush them, because he could tell were they were. trust me, i have never been in a situation like that, so i've got to have all the right answers. or something like that

What a great time this was. Can't wait for everyone to watch 😁 Edit: just want to clarify a couple things! 1. I forgot my running shoes at the Airbnb which was 10 mins away. I didn't forget to bring them to Australia lol. I fell because I was sprinting downhill, barefoot. Not a great idea in hindsight 😩 2. I chose not to pair up as I had already found a really good hiding spot. They told us it was totally our choice if we wanted to pair up or go solo. The clip in the video was not the actual conversation we had. It was Craig confirming we're going solo right before the attackers were about to come in. Craig was all good with it and it worked out in the end as we both did really well in the challenge. It's tough to get the full context when it's edited to be fast paced so I just wanted to clear up a few misconceptions.

Craigs biggest benefit in all of this is his lack of assumption. 5 trained fighters confident in their skills, consistently underestimating things, pulling punches etc... 1 dude who rightfully assumes everything is a credible threat and is alert for any advantage he can have at all times. So far if anything has been proven it's that self-defense is as much about mind-set as it is everything else. We saw this in Season 1 with Rokas himself who consistently felt he was outclassed by the rest of the group, and consistently performed very well because he had a mindset of vigilance.

I think having a regular bloke, still decently sized and strong is actually the best thing about this, it shows the reality of chaos of daily life or street fights. Every single one would absolutely destroy Craig on the mat or in the ring, but in real life anything can happen, training as shown helps a lot, but there can be so many variables in real life, that even if you are trained its best to avoid the fights, im surprised how this season no one tried to talk their way out of the fights, cause i do think this can work. P.s thanks for amazing content as always; I guess in street anything can happen and i was surprised how a regular bloke can actually hold its own in certain scenarios. I need to post this whole journey to as many "fighting commentators" as i can. Bradley martins of the world and others, P.s For next season invite "im 260 bro" Would be awesome, this style of content is next level. I guess both camps were wrong, the truth is as always somewhere in the middle, yes trained fighter will generally win, but no, untrained dude if he has the size and strength will not always be just a useless victim, anything can happen in real world and the unknown variables and chaos, so its BEST to avoid the street fights and test yourself out in proper settings vs proper, willing people. I still cant thank you enough for this content, for me the best and most interesting fighting content in youtube. (P.s you prolly wont even see this comment, but if you do please at least make the playlist, since its hard to link people this content from episode 1 in a easy to watch playlist fashion).

Glad to have this series back, but gotta give some criticism for the first challenge. Natan made a perfect example of the flaw in the rules. What I mean is the "bad guys" having a big adventage in a sense that they don't have to respect the guys fighting back. Getting smacked with a stick across the face and brushing it off like nothing, a stick/staff not being usable for thrusting attacks due to it not being a real wooden weapon is also quite a nerf. The attackers feel like game NPCs with infinite health that you have to somehow cheese to win. And sure, some people might get smacked in the head and try to rush you, but they sure won't do it like they don't care if they get smacked again. Sorry for the long rant, I just feel like while it's a huge improvement from last year, there is still a few issues that make it less fair/realistic in certain situations/aspects.

I just watched season 1 last week so I'm super excited season 2 is already going! Thinking forward to season 3 some challenge ideas I had are: - Active shooter simulation with paint balls - Home invasion where the goal is to escape with all of your family - Escaping an emergency situation where others may inadvertently harm you while also trying to escape

Found out about this competition from Ranton's channel - it's frankly crazy amusing seeing the difference in mindset. 1. Trained martial artist (Ranton) with 0 real combat experience. 2. Craig the every man, who is decently fit and tries to get the edge with his creativity. 3. Skilled martial artists with real life combat experience. It felt like the capacity to flip a switch to take the competition seriously for the ones with combat experience is also amazing. Just a recommendation would be to have maybe some padded body gear as well (especially for the fighters with knives), so the fighters feel a bit more comfortable to put in more strength into each punch and move. Technically I feel like there were multiple scenarios where punches were pulled when they shouldn't have (because it was self-defense). Haven't watched the first season, but I think I'll changed that soon.
