My sister died from this. Doctors kept telling her it was celiac disease, but she was only getting worse. It wasn't until she died from cardiac arrest that we found out it was whipple disease. She was only 32. It's devastating.

Won't 1 Year of Antibiotics lead to the patient having Pseudomembraneous Colitis? Also literature on Pubmed also found that some Patients with Whipples had constipation whilst other had diahreah

Arthralgia first... Then followed by Gastro intestinal symptoms such as chronic diarrhea, bloating , protein losing gastropathy leads to Nuerological symptoms such as Ataxia etc , pericarditis etc...

I think I have this also. I had A Whipple's Diseases Serology test that came back detected. I also had an ASCA Serology test done also which came back detected also. Both Crohn's Disease and Whipple's Disease cause damage and blunting of the microvilli

Minha mãe está internada, o médico descobriu há uma semana esta doença, iniciaram os antibióticos pois estava com diarreia crônica e muita desidratação, e o nível de proteína está tão baixo que ocasionou edema pulmonar. Agora estão administrando diuréticos para reduzir o enema. Moramos em Vitória, ES, Brasil.
