Admittedly there are many similarities: they're both violent, unhinged, talkative badasses with troubled pasts who're handy with a sword, two in DP's case. But Whirl doesn't break the 4th Wall like Wade does. In fact I can't recall a single moment where Whirl acknowledged the real world DP style.
