Whirling thoughts is a composition in a minimalist oriental style which is inspired by Anatolian melodies, as well as the Sufi approach to music and the whirling dervishes.
The most ancient depictions of the harp were found in Persian and Mesopotamia, where the harp flourished from 4000 BC until 1700 AD. The piece "Whirling thoughts" reflects the cultural heritage of this region as well as a contemporary perspective of migration.
