Whirlpool Cabrio Floor Leak - FIX

How I fixed a leak my Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum was having.
To begin with, I checked to see where the water was coming from. I stopped a load when the drum was filling to see if the drum was leaking from the bottom. And then looked at the back connections to make sure it wasn’t coming from where the water was attached to the machine or from the drain.After noticing it wasn’t leaking from the bottom or back, I realized it must be something up top where the filling was happening. Which led me to look at the fabric softener. That’s where I found my problem.

I can’t believe how amazingly helpful this video was. My wife and I did some investigating like you and found this soft er area to be the issue. However, our tray was filled with lots of build oil lint and hair and dried softener. We couldn’t believe what washed out. Our unit is the exact same as this one. Thanks.

thanks for posting! there's a good chance this may be my problem. Just replace the shift actuator and started having water in the floor afterwards. that had nothing to do with anything that dealt with the water, but I think the lifting of the lid back and forth may have moved some trash around and clogged one of the dispensers. going to check this later when I get home.

Replaced the fill valve..got it cheaper on Amazon after certifying the part. However prices have a valve turned differently. This caused me to have to re wire. So likely there's a rig of an extended harness for it (go figure and prolly not cheep) but still less than service waiting on parts and all that joy. But I'm having g same kinda issue. Will check the fill trays and let you know. Helps a lot though.
