As a former lifelong Whirlpool customer (purchased over 20 appliances over the last 17 years) their refrigerators are garbage. If you buy one pay close attention to the seals of the fridge when you open the box, make sure they seal. Then be ready to have an assortment of other issues.

My refrigerator stopped, but the light is on. By the way, this time last year, it happened again, the light was on in the refrigerator, but the refrigerator did not freeze. I thought it stopped working forever. Then I turned it off from the power source and after a few days it started working. The same thing happens even now and I turned it off. So why is this happening? What could be the fault?

I have this same refrigerator and the freezer is Frozen, hard as concrete ice cream but the refrigerator doesn't get below 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Do you know what causes that?

The 2 ports through which the cold air from the freezer enters the lower refrigerator are frozen with ice . To solve this problem take all food out of the freezer and put in an ice chest. Then set a hair drier inside the freezer compartment and turn it on. The heat will eventually melt the iceYou can check it by pushing a plastic straw up through the hole in the ports. I had to do this myself.

Hello there, our 2018 model is freezing items in the lower, nonfreezer part of the refrigerator. My husband stopped the cooling all together and then pressed the lowest setting (only one light on the smallest snowflake) still freezing to the point of a can of sparkling water exploded! Is there a way to fix this????

Hi, I switched from recommended snowflake to 2nd small snowflake because recommend was too cool and I wanted to lower electricity bill , the next day the fridge was not cooling like it used to so then, I changed the setting to the biggest snowflake( all lights on ) but it has been two days and it s not cooling like it used to before I messed with it - please help @@DIYPinto

If Pinto can't tell you...I can - the answer is NO! Replacing a Motherboard can only fix the Fridge when the Motherboard is BAD! There are a myriad of other issues and parts that must be checked to fix any appliance like a refrigerator. Always a good place to start is checking to see if your coils are just dirty, if the refrig is clogged up with dust, it does not work right. So start with cleaning it all up, there are lots of better videos and people that show you how. But if Pinto can't answer this one...well, he don't know much of anything is just chasing clicks/followers by showing people how to use a Button!

Well, if you don't know enough, to set the temperature to make it get colder. Then, you shouldn't own a fridge!

I have to say this is the worst refrigerator I purchased because this is the 3 time in 2 years that the bottom isn’t cooling and the top is either iced up because we set it on the last button or melted… like wtf this video didn’t help at all!! Like I already know that pressing the setting button are different control in cooling setting!!

@@DIYPinto the fridge finally got to above safe temp for food and the land lord replaced it. The repair guy said it needed a pump replaced and that was why we were getting so much condensation.
