Rocket Copters were great for camping this summer. The kids were fighting over them! Whirly Ball is definitely a "big kid" kind of toy.

I see that this heli ball is built by different manufacturers, because they perform all different. I have on the flys outside easily up to 6 or more meters high, even with some wind. Ive seen one that does restart automatically after a crash, mine is waiting till you reset them.

Once you switch the ball on, you can use any remote control with a power button to switch your ball on or off! ☺

My dog Noodles, 100lb Lab-Mix Shelter Puppy, loves anything that lights up which fortunately for him so do I. I'm always ordering the latest LED lights and flying things with LED lights for us to play with. His tail starts wagging every time he sees me carrying a package from the mailbox and has his big nose is stuck in the middle of everything from unpacking to playing with whatever new LED device we've gotten. He sleeps in my bed down at the end and at night I'll turn on many of the LED toys I have hanging from the ceiling and he stares at them one by one until he falls asleep. I've found that dropping $20.00 to $30.00 throughout the month at places like Bnggood and Aliexpress on everything LED is like having Christmas Morning almost every day. I have one of the FX-79 6ft Flying-Wing RC Aircraft I'm currently converting into a Horton 229. Hidden within the wings I have installed a series of Super-Bright White Spotlight LEDs along with a bunch of smaller colored LEDs and a couple of lasers. I can't wait to see Noodle's excitement when I take him out to fly it at night. The only downside to all the fun, I think my wife is getting jealous.

I purchased a different brand of the whirly ball for my grandsons for Christmas and the day after Christmas, 2017, I smelled something burning. It was the 'Flashing Crystal Ball' that had melted while charging. We are very lucky that this happened when we were in the living room and was able to unplug it. It was sitting on a wood table and I'm afraid to think what could have happened if we weren't there. Needless to say I sent both of them back but I'm hesitant to get a different brand because the one you have looks exactly like the ones we had.

I've noticed on Amazon there seem to be dozens of identical balls to this one, but I don't know if they are manufactured the same. I haven't heard any complaints about Whirly Ball melting.

Sorry to post on such an old video but my son got a whirlyball for Christmas 2018 only differnce was his had a planet Earth paint scheme. We only got about 30 minutes of play time out of his. Charged it used it in the house for about 10 minutes, recharged it took it outside for another 10 minutes, charged it a third time and used it in the house again and it broke during the third session. It charged and powered on but as soon as the blades got to full speed and you let it go it just immediately fell to the ground.

Idk why but we played with that whirly ball o nly for a day and it broke idk how but when we know play with it it makes a loud noise and spins dealt fast without any hand under it and when we try to do the motion hand sender it does not work and the inside is warm we left it for a day and it wasn't that warm by still does not work? Any one got any solutions

My grandsons ball he got today took off over the neighborhood. It disappeared into the night never to be seen again! My husband jumped in car to follow it. It had to be at least 2000 feet high and veered towards the Las Vegas strip! How could this occur when the ax limit is 39 feet? Could another device cause it to do this?

I got a ball like this and i tried to fly it in the dark and outside. It worked properly few times and suddenly it flied up and probably 40 feet high and flied away arround 1 KM and missing. It was amazing . I could not find after that. So, Be careful guys flying this out side

Robin Hanff they are really dangerous also. My nephew has one and I badly hurt my self because of it getting uncontrollable. Just like what happened in the video. And you really have to be careful around anything breakable.

The Whirly-Ball looks like one of those toys featured in a news story, "Tragedy Strikes 8 Year Old's Birthday Party." Little Eight-Year-Old Clayton Wilton had his birthday party ruined today after the tip of a plastic propeller on a flying toy called "The Whirly-Ball" struck poor little Clayton in the face permanently blinding him in his right eye. We examined the "Whirly-Ball", a sphere with two helicopter-type blades, and found that it has no guard around the propellers and, once turned on, flys erratically and has no remote control device, or anything else, to guide it. The toy will shut itself off in the event that it collides with something, but for little Clayton Wilton that safety feature turned out to be too little too late.

Whirly Ball and other infrared flying toys are meant to be used when it's kind of dark outside. Bright sunlight affects their performance and makes them behave strangely, hence why they seem to work better indoors.

Nice video. If that ball works like my UFO, don't reach up toward it, just put your hand out (and let it come toward your hand) and it won't go in the opposite direction as fast.
