Hi guys, thanks for posting the review. We are glad you enjoyed the OCD #5 Bourbon. Barrel 39 that you had was a barrel pick by Red Dog Wine & Spirits in Franklin TN. We don't bottle based on age so we never know exactly how old a barrel will be when we bottle it so the age statement (2 years) is typically much less than actual. Most barrels are around 3 to 3 1/2 years now. Our new label says aged at least 3 years. OCD could stand for many things. Most popular is Old Cranky Dave (me) and Obsessive Compulsive Distillers, but we have many possible options.

I know I have watched this video before, but dont know if I commented. I have been to Glenns Creek Distillery. It looks like a bombed out building....BUT its a unique distillery. The last time I was there David Meier Signed a bottle of OCD#5 for me 10-24-19 118.8 proof and I was the only one there, I got a one on one tour and tasting from him. Remarkable, and I have been to most of the Distillery's in Ky. Keep it on and going David.

I agree with their enthusiasm for this bourbon. I've had a bottle in my collection for a couple of years. Typically I'm not a fan of the higher-proof bourbons, but a drop or two of water and I'm all over this one. I shot an interview with the distiller David Meier a couple of years ago and found him to be an innovator, as well as an accomplished chemist. He is also a risk taker of skydiving levels. Glenns Creek, by the way, is not on the official Bourbon Trail, but is only a mile or two from distilleries that are. When in that area, be sure to drop by. David leads many of the tours himself and his is the most informative distillery tour I've experienced. And, I've been on a lot of them. And, yes, OCD is for Old Crow Distillery. David bought the distillery, but the Old Crow name wasn't included. Cheers!

Well damn! I was going to send in a bottle of this to the Guys. I found this last year in our hotel bar in Frankfort while doing the bourbon trail. Found the distillery and bought three bottles. Went back this year and bought two more. I get strong taste of raisins along with what they got. I also bought a bottle of their Cuervito vivo. It use’s the wild yeast and the mash bill of the original old crow that they got from the last superintend of the old crow distillery before it closed. Its pretty good . They are just down the road from Castle & Key by a 1/2 to a mile. They are about two down Glenns Creek from Woodford Reserve. If any of you MB hit the trail you should visit them.

Did you notice that the bottle was signed. Dave signs the bottles if you request. This is must stop distillery for those that know. Don't be concerned by the building as I thought it was just a loading dock. First time at Glenns Creek I left the family in the car and went in to make sure I was at the correct place. I found Dave running the fork truck and he treated me to a great tour and sampling. Spent an hour at the big distiller down the road. Spent the whole afternoon at Glenn's Creek. Make sure you pick up what you want before you leave as Glenn's Creek product is hard to find and in high demand. I will be heading back to Glenn's Creek from Wisconsin this April for my third visit and restock.

I was out on a lunch date with my wife this past weekend and the bar/restaurant we went too had some scotch on the menu. So I ordered a pour of glenlivet. When the waiter was bringing it to me he noticed that there was a bunch of floaters. He went back to look and see if they had a new bottle of glenlivet and came back holding Chivas Regal 12. So I decided why not! I'm going to preface this by saying up until this point I've super new to whiskey and I really haven't been able to pick out many different things I'm tasting in a whiskey besides ethanol lol but this time the stars aligned and the whiskey gods said this was my time! I knew from watching every single tribe and vault video that my time would come. So I patiently waited. I was so unbelievably excited when I tasted apples, butterscotch, and vanilla! Praise be the whiskey gods for this blessing! Lmao SKAL you MAGNIFICENT BASTARDS! 🥃

Stave and barrel single barrel is excellent. Their rye may be the best one I’ve had, personally. Just down the road from Woodford reserve & castle and key. Funny thing about OCD # 5, we tried 2 samples from 2 different barrels and they didn’t even taste the same. SB’s have the own flavor profile, but this was wildly different. 🤷🏻♂️

Two questions about sending in whiskies: 1) are you boys drowning in contributions or are you vaguely keeping up? :) 2) I have a 1970 and a 1972 Glenfarclas, bottled in 2011ish, that I got when I visited Scotland. I think their flavor profiles (not fantastic, spoiler alert) might be good examples of "isn't older whisky always better". Would you guys want samples of these?

Funny thing, your friend would have sampled that barrel at the distillery as we sample the barrel we have to sell, so not sure why he bought it if he didn't like it?
