The part most folks ever see about owning a small business is the part that you are doing. No matter how long it takes, you gotta get it done. I admire you for showing this. Make it happen cap'n!!!!!!

Great job Tim & company, nice to show the hardest part of running a business that ain't so pretty or easy. Like you said, you gotta do what you gotta do till you get the job done and get e'm back on the road, cuz that's what makes the money. I've never worked on anything quite that big but I did plenty on my vehicles to keep them going down the road. Video educational to see how and what makes those big boys tick, at 72 I'm still learning . Good luck and keep the wheels turning and the videos coming.😎👍❤️

So many people think small business owners kickback and get rich off the backs of their employees. They don't see the 20+ hour days, missing their kids games and birthdays, canceling trips, etc to keep their employees working so they can keep working and supporting their own families. I worked on farms for a little over 10 years and would hear non stop how farmers are rich and how they work their employees like slaves. My bosses normally put more hours in than I did which it wasn't like I was only doing 40 a week.i can't count how many times they were literally shoveling right alongside me or working 18 hours on a holiday so I could have it off.

Back when I was driving trucks , I drove a old international 6 wheeler delivering shrimp. I was down town Raleigh North Carolina and the release bearing went out and I knew if I stopped I’d probably not get the truck to move unless I was on a big down hill grade. So I judged the shit out of traffic light until I made it out on the beltway 440 ……. Then I made it to I 40. Got on 95 and boogied home. When I made it to the warehouse in Georgetown South Carolina I had an 1/2 of an inch of fuel in each tank and was just about to piss on myself. Saved my boss all kinds of money, but after I showed him on the map ( didn’t have cell phones with maps on it back then ) he was more impressed of how I got out of town and back on the interstate. I think it was a 1993 GMC 6 wheeler with a reffer box n unit. Also it was rated for CDL and I didn’t have a lick for CDL’s.

@precisiondiesel225
@precisiondiesel225 2 жыл бұрын
Definitely, there is a “bowl” inside the banjo housing, on both sides, where the axle spindle are welded on that will hold a couple handfuls of metal. The metal in the wheel hubs will take the wheel seals out soon. Also, you can absolutely put too much silicone. You’ll learn when all that access silicone takes a bearing out. What is the point of the anti seizes on the input seal sealing surface?

I had lift eyes welded on all of our rear ends... and when one went out, I'd just swap em both. Easier to keep a track on them as they kinda talk to each other. Its a long night usually as the clean up takes more of the time than the fixing... I also drilled a fill hole on the top of the housing so the filling a lot faster and somewhat easier. I always breath easier when the first ten thousand miles are on them as I bring them back for a oil change and get any lost pocket of metal out

Never trucked in my life but I love watching this channel because of the mechanic side of it. Semis I think are pretty cool but working on stuff is so interesting.
