You forgot the Iran Iraq War, the 1973 Yom Kippur War, the Suez Crisis, the Indo-Pakistani Wars of '65 and '71, the 1982 Israeli Invasion of Lebanon, the Algerian War of Independence, the Moroccan Invasion of Spanish Sahara, and the ongoing war with the Tuaregs in Mali

@FLJBeliever17764 жыл бұрын
@@shmeckle666 - The Iran-Iraq War was a war spanning a decade during the 1980s. It was sometimes compared to be a rendition of World War One with modern weapons, including the use of Chemical Weapons. Saddam Hussein al-Tirkit invaded Iran with the blessings of the Western world. I know that some of his Chemical Weapons came from Germany, but other nations also provided, including the United States of America (Reagan really screwed that one), the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Republic of France, and at least three or four other major Western nations who's names escape me at the moment. Most of the firearms used were actually either Soviet or Chinese knock offs of the Soviet stuff, but there were some Western kit found, hell some old, but upgraded M4 Shermans were still in use as late as 2003 when we knocked them, go figure. Though that doesn't mean there was not more modern equipment either. I believe there were some French aircraft since the Soviet and Chinese equipment could be a bit touchy and needed more centralized control than Western equipment. Also, it was a French missile that tore open a US warship in the Persian Gulf, though it was an Iranian mine that nearly sank another when she broke in half, but boy oh boy, did the gallant crew of the Sammy B. manage to keep their ship afloat. (They fastened a chain that kept her in remarkably one piece, despite literally being split in half. Cost nearly as much as a new Frigate to repair the USS Samuel B. Roberts.) Not to mention financial aid from countries that Iran had either offended or stiffed on its bills to say nothing of the 1979 Hostage Taking of the US Embassy. THAT alone really damaged Islamic Republic of Iran's reputation. It was a show of how incompetent old So Damn Insane was. He had the Iranians on the ropes and he abruptly stopped. Then he started to make a Nuclear Bomb that he planned to drop on Israel, only for the Israelis to learn of it. The French were helping then, but were realizing what he was up to and what it could mean, so when the Israelis dropped conventional bombs to knock the RnD site out, I can't even begin to describe how that not only save Israel, but when the French refused to help get things back online, it saved everyone who was going up against Iraq in the Gulf War of 1990-1991. But, then again, what can you expect of a Neo-Nazi and yes, Saddam Hussein was a bonafide Neo-Nazi. How do I know this? Well, I know of his uncle, the school teacher of the then little village he grew up in. The man was a fugitive for War Crimes from WW2. He served in the Arab Legion of the Waffen-SS. Yes, the Waffen-SS included Middle Easterners. Contrary to popular belief put out by Nazi Sympathizers, anyone who would enforce their rule, was allowed into the Waffen-SS. It even could and did conscript people who had no belief in the Nazis whatsoever. Though to allow the most obvious stand outs to be in it, without pissing on the support base (look at the Trumpettes for what I mean), they would make truly outrageous claims of some long, divine connection to Aryan ancestry for them. Old So Damn Insane's uncle was one of them. Fled Iraq after being part of an organization that overthrew the Iraqi government and declared Iraq a member of the Axis powers. In response, the British sent forces to oust this organization and the limited support from the Germans were little more than some Bf-110s that local British air units decimated in combat. Vichy French troops were supposed to leave Syria and go to assist, but were caught up fighting the Free French who tried to get them to side with them and fight the Germans. Needless to say, the Free French had an annoying campaign to deal with at the time. Anyways, the British, not worrying about the Vichy coming to attack them, succeeded in driving the rebel Iraqis out of Iraq. They even had a rough go at Fallejuh as well. Wish they had bombed it into oblivion myself. But they took it and the next city, much to their delighted surprise, was empty. That meant they were able to hurriedly wrap things up and close out Iraq before Pearl Harbor got bombed only months later. The Arab Legion spent much of WW2 running up and down the Balkans lighting that place on fire. They were about 40,000 strong or so last I heard their numbers. They were outfitted well, but never recalled to fight elsewhere. Still, their stint in the Balkans until finally driven out by the Soviets and Partisans had had a long term effective. Anyone who was watching the news of the 1990s would know what I mean. The Balkans' current climate is better, but prior, the only thing keeping a cap on the issues was Tito, Hoxha, and the Soviet Union. Last I talked with someone from down there, there was still a lot of bad blood. Though he was genuinely surprised to hear me talk about the Arab Legion and what they had been up to. No one had ever mentioned it, though he had known of outsiders and that WW2 was a part of the then current issues. Which was about 2006 I believe. I spoke with him regularly on the bus to and from college. Anyways, so this one War Criminal from the Fanatical Nazi Waffen-SS made his way home. To a small, pretty much dimple or pimple on the ass-end of no where and became, ready for this one?, the local school teacher. And you guessed it! He taught them Mein Kampf or My Struggle when translated. Hitler's personal book. It was required reading of all Waffen-SS units. The Arab Legion was no different. So there you have it folks. An attempt to rebuild the glory days of the Nazis in Iraq. Only for it to tumble and fail because the guy who put it to work, while a cunning manipulation, sucked at things he couldn't manipulate. Which was generally everything. Why did people fight and die for this guy? Fuck if I know. It's the mind set down there. And elsewhere, look at Trump, Boris, and Putin. Sorry guys, Xi actually has some brains to go with his megalomania. Anyways, that's pretty much it in a nut shell, oh and no realized who So Damn Insane's uncle was until MUCH, MUCH later on, unfortunately. Otherwise the German government would have said "HELL NO!" or at least been more discreet at the time for reasonable reasons. CoughIranCough
